organizedchaos
I found this article on ask men.com and I am wondering if this is true? Will I have better luck with getting women if I grow a beard? Women Prefer Beards - AskMen It seems to be a trend. But to answer your question, no. You'll have better luck with women by being an all around fun guy to talk to and hang out with. A well rounded guy who has his s**t together and can carry on a conversation, take initiative, and treat her well.
Frank2thepoint
First, I would take any advice from AskMen with a grain of salt. It has some great advice for men, especially about being confident. Note I said some. Second, I'm sure that stubby beard will go well with the ladies when performing cunnilingus. Third, do what you feel is right and looks good on you, for you.
Lernaean_Hydra
It's a popular thing these days and a lot of guys are doing it for the very same reason you're considering it. But then again, as with most trends, it all depends on the person. Like long hair, beards can be worn but some guys and really increase their aesthetic appeal. Some guys can rock long, flowing hair and look like a sexy, Nordic god, meanwhile others merely look like masculine women. Some guys can wear a beard and get that sexy/gruff/he-man look while others....well they end up looking like the weird guy who probably drives a windowless white van... Now, personally, I don't care for beards. I mean, I wouldn't rule a guy out, but I wouldn't exactly be tripping all over myself to get with the guy either. The guy I'm seeing now has a beard and it looks good on him, but he's got a really young face and I like the fact that his facial hair adds a couple years to him. If you want to try it, I see no harm in a little experimentation. Grow out the facial hair to a decent "fullness" then wear it for a month and see if you're getting more receptive female interest.
FitChick
I hate facial hair on men or women.
babycakees
It honestly depends on the guy and how he looks with facial hair. Some men can pull it off, others....not so much. I prefer the 5 oclock shadow look on men myself.
Bigcitydreamer
Yeah it's becoming trendy right now. I can dig it. Before I use to not like it so much unless the guy was exceptionally attractive but this past little while has made me bend my standards on that. You see a lot of hipsters going with that look. georgecostanza
I normally have a beard, and the last few years its been near enough constant. A couple of years back it was only the hipster / scene girls who were really big on beards. Now that it's blowing up as a trend I'm noticing a lot more girls outside of that category seem to be into it. About 50% of first messages that girls send me on tinder mention my beard, most of them practically drool over it. Just bear in mind they don't suit everybody and real beard bro's will be able to tell that you're a fake beard bro just in it for the sex.
abby_tx
I think beards and stubble are extremely hot. I don't like overly manicured men though and I've always felt this way, not just during this trend.
Phoe
I do rather like beards. My boyfriend is bearded and I find it very attractive.
jba10582
Lately I've been shaving only on Monday mornings and go a week, all through sunday night just for the hell of it, it becomes MORE than a five o'clock shadow, and they haven't said anything at work because some of the guys there have thicker beards anyway...one of the benefits of being single and not gaf. Chalkdust89
I personally prefer clean-shaven men, but I also like a well-trimmed mustache connected to a goatee. The only example I can think of is Carlos from Desperate Housewives, haha.
Canucklehead
I hate facial hair on men or women. Yeah, beards will never be more attractive for women whether it is 2014 or 3014. I am not that big a fan of them on men, let alone my GF
Got it
No. I don't mind some weekend stubble but I do not like a full beard. My ex would grow one in the winter because it was warmer but I didn't like it. I like to see the person's face, not hidden behind hair.
Els
I suspect the individual woman's taste has much more to do with beard/unbearded preference than the current year does. I'm not generally a fan of beards, but I could deal with one as long as it was always kept clean and well-groomed. Fortunately/unfortunately for me, the SO is East Asian and couldn't grow a full beard if his life depended on it. I suppose it's mostly fortunate, since I figure all those whiskers might make cunnilingus uncomfortable.
Smthn_Like_Olivia
I find a trimmed and neat, full beard quite sexy. I think they look good on almost any man. My guy has one and it makes him look yummy. @Elswyth - not uncomfortable at all! ;-)
isisisweeping
I strongly prefer clean shaven (or "scruffy") and most women I know are the same. Among people I know, it's men who really like beards, not women. It's not a deal breaker that means I won't date a guy, but a hope. central
"are beards on men more attractive for women in 2014?" No, I think the beards should stay on the men. I'm all for equality, but bearded women just don't appeal to me. If you meant "are beards on men more attractive TO women in 2014?" then the answer is perhaps yes.
Emilia
I didn't care for beards for ages but recently have grown on me. A nicely kempt, tidy, soft beard is lovely.

faithfully
I love men with stubble. Think its soo hot. Stubble as in not shaved for 4/5 day or a week. Not soo much beard. Hate guys who clean shaves but thats me
Candy_Pants
If my husband shaves he looks 12 and kissing him gives me a rash. With a beard he looks damn sexy and it tickles in all the right ways.
PinkInTheLimo
I don't like beards. Especially the unneat ones that you see these days, esp. on younger men. They don't wear a beard because it is a choice, but because they are too lazy to shave. BTW, what's up with men not taking care of themselves these days? I notice so often that guys these days have untidy facial hair AND smell. As if in the morning they just jump out of bed, do a catwash on their face and jump in their clothes. For me there is nothing sexier than a well groomed man, one who takes a shower in the morning, shaves himself (extra points if he is using a wet shave kit), puts on some nice after shave and some perfume and deo. If you do those things, you will still smell nice in the evening, even if you have been sweating a bit during the day (the smell which is a mix of a good perfume with some manly sweat, mmmmmm). A well-kept beard can look good but how often do you see one of those? Big disadvantage of a beard. If I kiss a man with a beard, I will have a beard myself the next day of irritated skin...
