Does anyone else here suffer from Fibromyalgia? I have been diagnosed since 2000 and right now I am so flared up!!!!!!! Exhausted... achy... unable to focus. My eyes get swollen and itchy too and right now I could about claw them off of my face.

Does anyone have any home remedy to help with the exhaustion or achy body? I am not on any meds for my FM and I dont want to go on any. It has always been pretty manageable but lately its been very difficult to function.

Plus when my FM gets flared up I get cold sores and stuff on the inside of my nose and my whole left side of my nose is swollen on the inside. So I cant breathe right and I am miserable today!!!!!!!!

I know this is a lot of information but I just thought I would see if there were any fellow sufferers out there!

I know I am painting a real pretty picture huh!

I never get why people are so adamant about refusing meds. Your body is a pile of chemicals. You eat chemicals every day. You breathe 'em in with every breath. So to avoid taking some chemicals in pill form which, when added to the rest of the pile, can help you seems not to be the wisest idea.

I have a friend who has fibromyalgia. The meds have done her a world of good.

I was on meds but my side effects from the meds actually were more difficult to deal with. Plus I have some problems with my liver and my doctors advised me to be careful with even the over the counter pain relievers because everything you ingest either eating, drinking, smoking or otherwise is metabloized through your liver. That was why I was reaching out for any home remedies. I am also a vegetarian and try to not put too many toxins in my body because of my health problems.

So by to my question... does anyone have any home remedies that have helped them cope with some of the FM symptoms and flares? Thanks...

have you looked at American Chronic Pain Association's website? Tried a Tens unit? I've tried a multitude of pain meds -- including a patch that helped for a while, but now I go thru a routine of hot baths, ice packs, exercise, and mental focus, which helps sometimes. Mostly I just learn to live with chronic pain and fatigue. People think I'm depressed even when I'm not complaining! The ACPA has some information you might be interested in.
