Sorry I really didn't give it that much thought, I knew it, it was apt - you think you're way, I think in the real world, and never the twain shall meet (oops another quote [ Kipling]).

 

I got news for you in case you haven't learned this already...

 

Your thoughts are not your own. Nobody's are. You and I are merely vessels to be influenced by powers higher than us. Even your unique personality is merely the expression of something which already existed and always will exist.

People aren't convinced or unconvinced by rational thought, anyway. We act as if we are. (I'm not talking about logistical things like running a business, etc, but rather big-picture, metaphysical things.)

Quite right, we should talk about things that can be explained (running a business, evolution) in one rational way, and talk about religion and other supernatural things in an entirely different irrational way. I can certainly see how that makes sense to the aluminum hatted amongst us.
