The Candid Discussion, Girl Problems: My Missy

So obviously I'm consulting with a doctor, but in the meantime while I await my results, I'm venting here. My Missy, aka vagina, has been having peculiar issues.

I recently went to the doctor and was told I had a "bleeding cervix" and my symptoms have been consistent pink discharge, brown clots, weight loss and fatigue. I had to take blood tests and get a transvaginal ultrasound done.

The doctor told me to come back in 1-2 weeks to go over the results as it's better than over the phone.

Well, the impatient person I am can't wait that long so I've been googling everything to do with the cervix! And maybe that was a bad idea...

It could be bacterial infections, STD's or the worst possible: cancer.

Well, the doesn't help me any. I am pretty positive I don't have an STD as I was just checked recently for that and it came back negative, but who knows.

I'm pretty aware of what a bacterial or yeast infection is like and I don't think it is that because I don't have those related symptoms.

There are many things it could be...I just wish I had the answers.

Has anyone else experienced this? STD's? Uterine Cancers? Cervicitis?

I haven't dealt with this personally but I know sooo many things can cause these problems. It can range from very simple easily fixed problems to more serious problems.

Try not to worry, it is all a guessing game (and not a fun one) until you get results back.

Hope it turns out to be insignificant op, good luck :)

The same thing happened to me last year. Went to a routine sexual health check up and they found my cervix was bleeding. No weightloss and the other symptomps you have OP but the nurse was very worried and sent me to see my GP.

My GP kind of freaked out after examining me because I bled some more and my smear test had been a while. So I was convinced I had cancer just because she seemed so sure of it. She sent the smear off as an emergency request and it came back about a week after as a negative.

The bleed is so little that I hardly ever notice it, the discharge isn't pink it's brown (old blood) and it's rare that I have it between periods. Those 2 weeks while this was going on freaked me out though! They completely butchered me with the examinations and everything else too. Not fun to be a woman sometimes.

I think cervical cancer is slow growing and takes years to develop. It's probably something else. (even if it's a tumour, it will probably be non-malicious, like a polyps - a family friend had one and had it removed). Let us know!

edit; our friend said it was a very mild operation, with very light anesthesia, and went home the same day.

Maybe you have cervical erosion.

Thanks Fitchick,

I actually considered it might be cervical ectropion. not sure if that's the same thing as what you said, but they say it's caused from hormone pills like birth control.
