What is your impression on this woman who used and I quote "I am real unless my company pays me to be Fake" on a date with me.

well, it would depend on where she worked and what she did.

like if she was a realty "actress" then that would be perfectly acceptable.

Or if she were a salesperson. Salespeople must be fake in a way to sell.

Or a prostitute at a brothel. ;)

I agree with Save, salespeople need to show that the product their selling is the best thing, even if they personally think its a piece of junk.

I come to some of that reasoning to but as for as in relationship is concern. You guys are right, she works in sales and marketing but that quote stuck to me because she can be compromised by money, could it apply to her to be fake in a relationship if she chooses not to be paid and just be fake about the relationship.

I don't think it means squat. Almost everyone does this to some extent, esp in a work setting.

I don't see how money can influence her when it comes to relationship, unless your well off and have alot of money.

If you think she is dating you for your money then you might have a point.

If not, then she is just being honest. Her job requires her to be fake about the product she sells for them. Whether she likes the product or not.

Sounds like her Ex or whoever doesn't want her dating anyone.

I would just tell her about the call and ask what gives?

yes, this is true. with all the nutballs runnin' around today you never know what people will do.

a buddy of mine (frank) started dating this woman 2 summers ago he worked with. she wass supposedly getting divorced while still living with her soon-to-be ex-hubby. They had 2 kids also.

Well, anyways, we all told Frank that this woman was using him to make her hubby jealous and Frank was insistent she was not. He spent all this money and time on her over six months but they never had sex. Her hubby would call Frank on a weekly basis to harass him and threaten him to stay away from his wife.

So in the end Frank got burned and she mended her relationship with her hubby. It was ****ked up man.

Without knowing the context in which she utterd the phrase, I doubt if anyone can interpret it with any degree of accuracy. You would have to ask her.

As for your other comment -- someone is calling you and threating you? THAT needs to be explored. If you really like her and want to continue to see her than you need to know more about her past and other current relationships. She may have someone in her life that could pose a danger to you, or needs closure for themselves. If you are not that interested in her you might want to consider that a red flag and end the relationship.

I'm in sales, tho I've never heard anyone say that before - but hey, I like it! it's right on.....

Anyways, you can't try to evaluate a person's entire character on a single comment they made.

I'm more concerned about the second event, which seems unrelated to to your original post...WTF? - a guy calls screaming threats at you?

This is not good...a date with someone that has now resulted in you having to worry about your personal safety.

Was this your first date with her? you sound like you don't know anything about her.

My advice is to forget about her...
