Naive
Hey everyone. I started a diet on Sunday because my sister's wedding is coming up and I have to fit into a size 5. For some reason though I feel so un-energetic and out of it, do you think it's the diet or just one of those days? Honestly I have been feeling so out of it. Yesterday we went to a club with my cousin and I was not even able to dance 1 hour when other times I don't stop until they say "get the hell out of here".
Barby
What type of diet are you on? What are you eating? Are you drinking enough water and getting in a daily vitamin?
crisp
Instead of starving yourself or destroying your stomach, why don't you simply go more often to the gym? Proper diet is recommended, but healthy, balanced diet is the one more important. Fruit. At least 2 a day. They do wonders for the complexion also. I know you probably take care of yourself and please pardon me for insisting but ince you scr*w your stomach, it stays that way for the rest of your life. MEaning acking and permement diet. That is soo not fun when you don't need it!

About the water.....GIRL I KEEP RUNNING TO THE BATHROOM TO PEE EVERY 30 MINUTES. I have not taken any vitamins because I have to go to my cardiologist for that. Well I do go to the gym approximately 3-4 times a week for about 1 hour, unless I am lazy then I stay for 30 min.
Barby
Since you're eating what you normally do, and drinking lots of water chances are it's just one of "those" days! You're so tiny girl, I don't know where you need to lose weight at! BUT if you are attempting to lose a few pounds then it sounds like you're doing it in a healthy way! tanbark813
You're probably just cutting back too much on the rice.

Well I sure hope it's one of those days!!!!!! Believe me if it were up to me I would not lose weight but my sister wants everyone to look their best so she told me, "girl you have to go at least one size down or the dress is so not going to look good" So once a person makes a remark like that it's kind of hard to just shrug it off!!!! I ordered my dress a size 5 already so there is no going back!!!!! Originally posted by tanbark813 You're probably just cutting back too much on the rice. OMG where can I hide where you will not find me :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I have to accept you got me with that one!!!

crisp
Ok, feel free to bash me if you want to. I think that people that go under a certain limit are exposing themself unnecessarily. I did do a stupid thing like that (the only difference is that it kind snowballed and got a bit under control). Anyway, after going down a size and quitting at my draconic diet, I went up again, 2 sizes. I was in highschool and trust me, I wish I had never one that. I know it depends on each person's body. My best friend can very easily lose 8 pounds. She also gains the easily too. Do it very slow and after the wedding, don't just go back on your normal eating habits. My doc told me to take twice the time I spent losing weight to increasingly come to the things I normally eat - I'm dieting too, but it's more of a change in eating habits than in stuff I eat per se. Oh, it's also normal that after you start losing weight, to fall into a plateau zone. Just keep doing what you're doing and you'll continue to get thinner.
Stylin22
I would suggest that you eat smaller portions than before which you said you were doing. I would knock out any trans fat food like ice cream which is loaded. Also, knock out alot of the processed sugar stuff which is in almost eveything. I don't believe so much in these fad diet things. Your input should be lighter than your output. Break your portions into 5-6 meals a day. Try to exercise for 2-3 times a day. Hour in the morning, hour in the evening, and then a half hour somewhere maybe doing situps at night or leg stuff while watching your shows at night. Doing this you will work off the few calories you put in for fuel and then your body will be able to work off any stored stuff. If you are weight-lifting, look into circuit training where you perform 2 exercises without rest. They have found this is the best for weight loss. TONS OF FRUITS AND VEGGIES. Try to incorporate protein and a bit of fiber in your breakfast for the day. Eat a multivitamin if you can. Try to flavor your water with lemon or lime so you don't get sick of it. Actually, try to put a cup of green tea in your daily schedule too. Exercise is huge. I suggest swimming and running alot. But the absolute best is jumping rope, you will do anaerobic as well as aerobic, so you get both benefits. Drink a gatorade after a workout to replenish your electolytes.
