Marinara by definition does not have meat in it. I'm a vegetarian so no, I don't add chicken. Saffron is an interesting touch; I'm sure it tastes nice, but never heard of using that in marinara. Obviously you would add pasta at the end; I figured that was self explanatory. Obviously everyone has different ways of doing things. My mom's family moved here from Italy after WW2, and this is what they put in their marinara. It doesn't mean there's a right or wrong way. I thought it was pretty clear that I was just trying to demonstrate that the things somedude mentioned were actually pretty simple.
