blacknoir
So, I walk into work this morning, and there's an envelope on my desk. In it was a gift card that I had given to her for Christmas (to a very high-end spa, for a good sum of money). It was purchased in her name - I still have the receipt. On it, a short note: "Thank you for the thought behind this GC. Please understand that I don't feel right using it." I'm still reeling over her breaking up with me (~1 month) - I'm trying to move on, but dammit if this doesn't reopen the wounds and hurt like hell. I've decided that I'm going to go to the place, get it transferred into my name and use it. If she can't/won't use it as part of her "cleansing" from her D, then I'm going to use it as mine from the BU. I suppose this is the final nail in that coffin, yes?
RickFox
It would appear that way, yes
gettingstronger
Yes, and she is a bit vindictive to boot- Hope you find someone worthy of you soon-
QuakerOats
First...yes, go use it. Second...was that the final straw? Who knows. Could be some form of attention seeking. I'll admit I've done similar things. Sent the exMM back a shirt I knew he didn't really want once, just to spur an interaction. Go to the spa and try to clear your own mind. Author blacknoir
Yes, and she is a bit vindictive to boot- Hope you find someone worthy of you soon- I'm not sure I'm following the "vindictive" part, unless you're saying that she's taking a final stab at me for something (maybe me being in pretty solid NC for the past few weeks)? First...yes, go use it. Second...was that the final straw? Who knows. Could be some form of attention seeking. I'll admit I've done similar things. Sent the exMM back a shirt I knew he didn't really want once, just to spur an interaction. Go to the spa and try to clear your own mind. Yeah, I'm not taking that bait, even if I get a breadcrumb "hey, did you get the envelope" IM. Most definitely going to the spa - it's been far too long, and three hours of bliss will feel amazing, I think.
