You are approx 40 pages into some book you paid $19.99 for and you are ALREADY changing your thinking patterns and thought patterns that have developed over decades? I don't think so! whichwayisup
I can understand how this book can help...Just keep believing it and eventually your thought patterns will be more positive. Cognitive behaviour is a tricky thing, takes time. I know this just because of my anxiety disorder, I'm much better now, but I tell you it is real hard sometimes to control thoughts and make your mind stop in its tracks and retrain the brain to just be in a better place most of the time. IT can be done!! Dont be frustrated if you feel yourself slipping...There's alot of time on your side!!! Good luck though!
Thinkalot
I am going to have to read this! I overthink EVERYTHING. analyse, worry. Of course, I suffer OCD, which is a form of anxiety disorder. getting better, bt geez, I still think WAY too much. It's hard to slow my mind down.
newby
i too am an overthinker with anxiety and ocd etc alphamale that is exactly the kind of negative thinking that keeps the mind trapped in its little pattern meditation helps and you can change the way the mind thinks its not that difficult i have dealt with many of my obsessions this way, it takes time at first, but then you find that the next one is easier to work on etc its only a case of creating a new path for thoughts to go down it doesnt take long its like forcing yourself to ride a bike over a new bit of grass, before you know it, there will be a track science is now beginning to prove that the brain doesnt store memory as previously believed psychology is out anything is possible
