verhrzn
Fellow ladies, do any of you experience anxiety around the sagginess of your boobs? I'm in my late 20's, and as the years pass, I get more and more worried about how much perkiness I lack, especially as I know this is something guys care a lot about. Anybody got any tips that's helped them? Or do you just have to sigh and accept your bad looks?
Arieswoman
verhrzn, I get more and more worried about how much perkiness I lack, especially as I know this is something guys care a lot about. Any guy who is so shallow that he's only interested in your boobs being pert isn't worth bothering about. If you've had several kids and they are almost on your waist or look like spaniels ears', then you might like to look at plastic surgery. Otherwise a good bra and exercises can keep the pectoral muscles in tone.
Candy_Pants
Otherwise a good bra and exercises can keep the pectoral muscles in tone. False. Bras make boobs sag worse. The French proved it, of course.
Tressugar
Men don't care what type/kind (firm, saggy, smooth, high, low etc.), size, color, or real or fake breast you have. As long as you have breasts men will like them.

Candy_Pants
Candypants, Not when they're on they don't ! Bras: Do They Cause Saggy Breasts? | Women's Health Magazine Arieswoman, from the very article you cited. There’s no solid proof that wearing a bra makes a difference, says Minkin. The real droopage offender is the breast growth and shrinkage that happens when a woman diets, gets pregnant, and/or breast-feeds. Anything that makes breasts expand and contract weakens the surrounding skin and tissues, which makes them lose elasticity and take on a deflated appearance, says Minkin. Ruby Slippers
You can either accept what you've got, or get plastic surgery. I think the best thing to do is eat healthy, stay in shape, and find a great bra for you.

Author verhrzn
Ditch the media idea of beauty and embrace your own. Seek a man who does the same. I know many, many men married to women with large, heavy breasts and LOVE THEM. They consider them amazing, regardless of how low they droop. Honestly, it isn't the media that bothers me! I look at magazines or movies and while it does impact some, I usually just roll my eyes and disregard it as, ya know, media. What sticks with me way more are what I see guys say in every day life. On forums (here, Reddit) or when sitting next to a group of them out at a bar. I look at the porn guys upload themselves (sites that are kind of Tumblr for porn?) If it was just the media portraying this stuff, I probably would blink and go about my every day life. But it isn't the media. It's average guys. Guys who are supposedly normal and average, like me, but have these expectations of huge, perky boobs. I mean, are there really any men left in my age group who doesn't think this way? It doesn't seem so...
darkmoon
I get contradicted, but I live to swear that my boobs sag if left minus a bra, I am big at a GG-cup, gravity wins over me every time, my boobs are slightly higher in fact having found the perfect bra that holds and supports every inch and curve in a mould, the mould being a perfect fit for me, if I take the good bra off wear a crappy one the boobs are slightly lower by next day, and they will worsen if I let them, gravity see Edited April 15, 2014 by darkmoon
hoping2heal
A cautionary tale if you will A friend of mine has always had very, very large breasts. They were large, heavy, and they sagged. She was very insecure about this and she met a guy she liked very much. Well, she qualified for one of those breast reduction surgeries through her insurance and she decided to get one. Her and this man she liked, are now married. They slept together before the surgery and there was clearly no problem because he wanted to see her again. Well, now that she's had this surgery she will never be able to breastfeed her own children or pump and provide breast milk for them. In hindsight, she regrets this choice because she came to realize her husband loves her no matter what her breasts or body look like. Not saying you are thinking of surgical interventions; just I think the point is yes men love large, perky boobs. But, a man who loves you isn't going to reduce you to your breasts. People aren't perfect and neither are there bodies. Yes, some people are very superficial and this is a major high point for them. That's fine, they usually commune with other superficial people of like mind and they do their thing.

Arieswoman
Candypants 6# Experts have cast a skeptical eye on the unpublished study, which joins a long list of later-debunked research blaming bras for everything from circulation problems to breast cancer. “The preliminary results are intriguing, but it’s not clear if the researcher looked at women who only had smaller breasts, which don’t sag as much over time, or if he included women of all breast sizes,” says Mary Jane Minkin, MD, clinical professor of ob-gyn at Yale University School of Medicine. “And did he factor in that gravity naturally takes its toll on all body tissue? With so many variables to account for, it’s hard to accept the results.” from same article (italics mine)

As long as you have breasts men will like them. Yeeeeeeeah, no. Nope. Wrong. Au contraire, verhrzn. I get that you have some self-image issues, to the point where I'm not ruling out that you've miscontrued what these guys in your life have said about either your boobs or random boobs. Or maybe they're just dicks. Because the fact is that almost all guys will be thrilled to see your boobs, regardless. At least the guys worth showing your boobs to in the first place. No problem if you want to make your boobs look different, and take whatever steps that entails, but make sure you're doing it for you.

xxoo
By late 20s, a man should really be more knowledgeable about female bodies and not expect women (esp women in their late 20s) to have both big AND perky breasts. Unless they've only interacted with pictures and tumblr, they will know what a real woman looks and feels like. And either they like real women's bodies, or they don't. Plenty do. Screen for them.

As long as you have breasts men will like them. I was so close to liking your post. I'm a complete breast aficionado though I tend to prefer them on the larger size. I do agree with almost everything you said, except about them being fake. Fake breasts are acceptable if they aren't done for cosmetic reasons. The amount of complaints I've gotten about my boobs is unreal. Too big. Too small. Right one's a bit bigger. I remember another thread were a girl was talking about her boobs and how guys said mean things to her because they were big. A guy would have to be a real idiot to say something that could make his GF feel insecure. Truth be told, I felt that my ex's nipples were too small. Though I never told her that, nor did I give them any less attention. I did the best that I could with what was presented to me. I'm proud to say that I never said anything negative about my ex's appearance or body to her at all.
ascendotum
By late 20s, a man should really be more knowledgeable about female bodies and not expect women (esp women in their late 20s) to have both big AND perky breasts. Unless they've only interacted with pictures and tumblr, they will know what a real woman looks and feels like. And either they like real women's bodies, or they don't. Plenty do. Screen for them. I agree with this. You might encounter a guy who's been used to dating girls in their early 20s, who might make a comment on them being a lil saggy. If so don't take it heart that it is a huge issue for him. Its likely just an observational comment about your body. Lots of women read more into any comment a guy makes about her body, that its a complaint. A guy who's sleeping with a girl early on and she has A cup boobs or small nipples and he has never experienced these before could easily make a comment over the them. It does not mean he thinks they are ewww. Guys have a lot of variation in taste when it comes to boobs. Sure they will have a preference of some sort but many men are just happy with variety and there are fans for each boob size, and sometimes shape too. Women in porn go from flat chested to huge for boob size. Most porn pics will be of young women with size c-D firm boobs. That's what is mostly out there and will be mostly viewed, but it does not mean that the guys viewing them are hung up on getting the exact same. Lots of guys have to deal with similar insecurity if they were so inclined...'would she prefer more to be with a guy who is > 3" taller. I think you are projecting your own insecurity over the change in your boobs here more then men's. I gather guys have not had a sad look on their face when they first see them, and say something like...'errr wow your boobs are like really saggy'. I had sex with a woman a few years back that was a bit lanky and had what I would call dangly boobs. totally loved them. At your age, no babies, and natural decline in perkiness is no big deal. Save the enhancement for after you had kids or get near 40. Phoe's comments surprised me. If you had a few kids and they really expanded & deflated + you had gone through yoyo weight changes and your boobs were saggy like 2-3 day old party balloons, then that would be in 'big deal' territory for lots of guys. Those women could legitimately complain about men doing the fade after sex. Lots of women with huge boobs and who have had a bit of yoyo weight over the years can get a lot sag as they get towards middle age. BIG saggy boobs that slide off on to the woman's side when she is on her back, I am not a fan off. As an ectomorph build guy, that just does not turn me on - My preference, but I'd get a fairly good idea of that beforehand. Edited April 15, 2014 by ascendotum

I'm proud to say that I never said anything negative about my ex's appearance or body to her at all. Um... this is not reassuring. It just means you were having these thoughts and just didn't voice them. That just undermines the idea that guys are totally into their ladies' boobs because hey, otherwise wouldn't the guy say something? That just makes me think guys are thinking even meaner things when they see me naked... I think you are projecting your own insecurity over the change in your boobs here more then men's. I gather guys have not had a sad look on their face when they first see them, and say something like...'errr wow your boobs are like really saggy'. Well, actually... I've never had an ex be flat out like "Ew, gross" but quite a few of them have gotten disappointed looks on their faces, not wanted to touch the boobs, etc. I've also seen guys on say GoneWild who post comments about gross and disgusting the women's bodies are when the boobs aren't super perky or firm.
