People are who they are. Accept them for who they are, or find other friends. I'm not saying what they're doing is right - it's not. But maybe it's better to find more reliable friends and invite them to the wedding and life events that matter, and invite the flaky friends out to big gatherings where their presence or absence isn't noticed. You're right. It was naïve of me. Friend A is the most notably flaky friend I have. Friend B, well, I don't really know what his problem is. He's been nasty to me ever since he redacted his attendance. I won't be inviting them to any more important events, that's for sure. Link to post Share on other sites
