Stupid deal breakers and weird habits that make you say NO. JUST NO.

Might be kind of a no-brainer but: post on LS. Too many of you people are either somewhat mental, complete narcissists, depressed whackjobs, nobodies with ridiculous expectations or otherwise deranged personalities. Sorry for whoever doesn't fit in there but I've never seen a place with such a concentration of obvious deal-breakers all together.

Cause the main reason they don't want kids is cause they want to be free and do whatever they want in their lives, which is cool up to the point where you eventually have to start caring about someone else more than yourself and you have to take some responsibility in life. It's my opinion anyway.

Ahhh yes, the "you have to live life like I do" attitude.

Oh I like these lines you use so much Keenly. :D

The thread was "what are the deal breakers for YOU?". Me. I replied about MY deal breakers. Yours can be different. Thank you.

I think I understand what you're doing. When you put up with so much crap for so many years and put yourself last, then you can overreact and go the other way to balance yourself out.

You'll end up in the middle. The middle is where you are tolerant of annoying little habits and they don't seem annoying. You are not putting up with major character defects like dishonesty, laziness and selfishness.

Sometimes the problem is that little things people do can either be taken as a major character defect or as an temporary annoyance and not a pattern.

It can be hard to tell the difference.

My major deal breakers are things like dishonesty, selfishness, violence. If I like the guy, I will laugh about everything including farts and hot sauce on his face.

Right, and we can all judge what you post.

I think its a pretty condescending thing to call people who live differently than you selfish and irresponsible.

I know an older, childless man.

He used to be a car mechanic, electrician, jumped out of planes for the military, EMT, traveling nurse which allowed him to travel throughout the country, volunteered and organized medical missions which brought him throughout many parts of the world, did very well for himself and has recently accumulated enough finances to complete a medical degree from John Hopkins. He's probably lived a more fulling live than you ever will, and most likely many of us included. He also saved my life.

Although I do have the same exact deal breaker as you, I couldn't disagree more with your rationale behind your preferences. You can prefer to date whoever you want. But you couldn't be more wrong about childless men being irresponsible.

Who cares, he's a dick because he doesn't raise children.
