ltjg45
Considering that I sleep on the floor and I work nights, the only reason why I would want to get up is to make sure I am not late for work tonight.
Ruby Slippers
Ha! Same here. The when I come home from work "Feed Me" then "Now let me outside" are different meows, too. Yes! And then there's the "you're not giving me enough attention" meow, the "why must you bathe me? I'm a cat!" meow, and the "I'm so content and cozy right now" meow
Babolat
This. I don't have a coffee machine at home so to get my addiction to caffeine satisfied, I have to leave the house. Usually I get up as soon as I wake up, shower, clothes on and get out to get a coffee on the way to work or to start the weekend. A good incentive. I soooo look forward to walking to my local coffee shop every morning for my latte and scone!
Author learning_slowly
I've never liked coffee. So when in the U.S. I attempted to get a cup of tea. I say I attempted as after about the 5th go I gave up. All of them had hardly any flavour. In the end I found their version of tescos: fresh and something. The tea bags there still weren't as good as at home, but were approaching something drinkable. No wonder coffee is so big there. I agree the caffeine kick can help to sort out your morning. It's amazing how the little things make a difference to you wanting to get up

ASG
Not gonna lie... Waking up and getting out of bed are my two least favourite parts of the day. And it's not because I'm depressed or don't love my life! I just *HATE* waking up! And moving after waking up! On a regular day of either no work or late work, I'll wake up around 10 or 11 and, even though I could definitely sleep MORE, I decide enough is enough and open my eyes to the world. Then I roll to the side, pick my laptop off of the floor and look at FB, Twitter, LS and whatever else. Sometimes for as long as 2h. *THEN* I'll get up to go pee! If I have work that routine will still happen, but earlier and it won't last for 2h, but I definitely need time to become a person after I wake up. Some people need coffee, I need to do nothing and just relax, usually by looking at social media!
SpiralOut
Coffee Needing to pee knowing I'll get fired if I don't go into work I hate getting out of bed in the morning, even on the days I have something exciting planned.

But don't you think there is someone out there for you? I can tell you've had bad experiences, but maybe you've just met in the wrong situations or looked in the wrong places? I hope you can trust others in the future.
Summerrose2013
My cats pawing at my face to be fed, or scratching at the door if I've locked them out to try and have a lie in, LOL!! I love pets, and that they don't understand about weekends. They have got me through my darkest days of bereavement, break ups, you name it. How I love and adore them.

carhill
What gets you out of bed in the morning? Usually, the 4:30am wailing of the cat wanting his wet food. It serves as a reminder of civilization and the burgeoning sunrise and whatever interesting things that day brings. Save for that, an hour later, the noise from the early morning farm equipment filters in and is yet another reminder of stuff to do and life to live. Then the cat goes back to sleep, silence descends in the fields and self-motivation takes over.
Better
Me too! My cat has many different meows, and the morning "feed me" meow is the whiniest and most annoying of them all. LOL. I know that meow, and it is not a pleasant sound
Better
During the week, it's the sound of the alarm telling me that it is time to wake up and get ready for work. I truly hate that alarm. On Saturdays during the grass-growing months, it's the sound of the lawnmowers as they cut the grass at the corporate campus right outside of my window. I used to like the smell of fresh cut grass, but no more. On Sundays, I sleep as long as I want. It's the best day of the week by far
