I will be leaving in a few hours to fly to visit my long distance "friend" in a different country. I'm feeling more nervous than I think I should!

Background on this story: we grew up together but I moved away and we lost touch. A few months ago we got back in touch because he was visiting my city. We met up and hit it off. He suggested that I come visit him, and I could use a vacation in his city so we booked it! I'm excited, but I guess just nervous to be spending the weekend non-stop together and that I will be staying with him. I'm not expecting a relatonship out of the situation, just to stay long distance friends with benefits.

Any advice to calm my nerves?

You are staying with him? I dont get it. People are saying that you should stay in a hotel when you go visit a guy u barely know.

Can someone explain pkease?!

She said she grew up with him! That's a little different from someone you barely know.

Hi Blackbird, welcome to LS :)

If this is someone you've known all your life and you don't have any expectations of a relationship, what is causing the nerves?

Have you already agreed on a long distance FWB situation?

Is this the first time you'll be having sex?

have no expectations like you say ... have fun, do what comes natural and don't compromise if something isn't or doesn't feel right.

Just have fun and enjoy your vacation

Breathe. Remind yourself of all the good qualities that drew you to him in the 1st place -- back then & now.

If you are OK with FWB, that's fine. Be open to whatever comes.

Focus on having fun.
