Body or looks

Recommended Posts

I don't think either matters if you take care of yourself. Clean look, nice haircut..I don't care how good looking or fit they are if they smell bad have dirty fingers etc., it's such a turn off. Same goes for women. Lots of pretty thin women in my office guys never hit on because they look like they just rolled out of bed. Simple manicure, pluck and blow dry, neat clothes and a smile. That's all you need in my opinion.

Ok I really wanted to expand on my post, but had to post it quick due to a family event.... OK so I remember watching this video awhile ago and it's accurate within most of my friends.

Doesn't really answer your question, but it gives you an idea.

I believe that physical attraction is an essential part of building a relationship. Yes other things matter, but if you have trouble being intimate with that person due to their looks, maybe you should try something else. saying that, when you truly get to know someone you see a complete other side of them, the beauty/ugly truly shines. And that my friends is called love, being able to over look every other aspect within the relationship because you know you love this person.

Is this thread relating to my other thread? Well didn't bother reading the rest of the comments as there are too many before I got the chance to reply.

I'm asking this mainly because me and sadandlonely just got into this topic.

Guys or girls

Would you prefer a man with a good looking face and a body that needed improvement or someone with a rocking bod and an ugly face.

Curiosity purposes only :D

Beautiful deep dark eyes and vibrant curly hair. Strong emphasis on the curly hair. Since both of these are on a woman's head, then I say her face.

I've wondered this myself. I've been with some butherfaces and some chubby girls with nice faces. I really don't know which I prefer.

Neither would bother me. What somebody looks like is ridiculously low on the list of things I care about.

The face! I love my H's face. Almond shaped eyes with a Native nose, freckled cheeks, big soft lips and a goofy smile :bunny:!! His body is great but that's genetics and working hard.

Hi, I'm attracted to a man's face first! I've passed on "flirts" & messages on OLD because there was no pic or there was only one w/body (shirtless of course) from neck down. A great physique is an indicator of health & work ethic etc., but it can also be an indicator of vanity or selfishness (says the woman w/a peacock feather as her forum picture). My admittedly skewed female viewpoint is that eyes & smile are some of the 1st things women "pick up" subconsciously from the myriad body language signals in the mating game, we don't even realize we are doing it. It sure would be easier if everybody just wore beads & a loincloth... :)

This is a hard question because I wouldn't want to date someone who didn't have an attractive face but I also do have strong attraction for nice bodies. I turned down a guy with a really nice face but he was small, and instead went out with someone who has a great body but not as good of a face.

But for me there are no concrete rules, I was once attracted to a half Filipino and half Spanish guy who was probably about 5ft 7 or 8, close to my height, who had a gorgeous fave and dressed like a model. So it seems like for me many things come into play and I can't pick between one or the other haha

I vote face. As long as the body is healthy, that's enough. But I prefer a handsome face over a gorgeous body. I fall in love with a face, and ADORE seeing that face on our babies

Just curious - what do you love about the curly hair?

A pretty face is a must for me. A hot body won't make up for an unattractive face.

Handsome face and body that needs work.

You can always change your body. You can't change your face.

How ugly of a face are we talking here? Something like this?

Not even the most amazing body or breasts can make for a face as unfortunate as that.

As for a woman with a pretty face and a body that needs improvement. Would she count?

Then for me it's definitely face.

I actually read her story and seen videos of her being interviewed. She seems like a very nice and worthwhile person that deserves more than to be used as an example here.

She was just the most recent example I can think of when it comes to a woman who is unfortunate.

I only saw the headlines for the articles.

a body that needs improvement

Maybe I'm just odd, but.... her body's nicer than like 90% of the current US population's.

That's not bad looking at ALL.

As for the original question - Meh. How about a happy medium of both worlds? Just an average everyday guy? That makes me happy.

Well she's flabby and has no visible muscle definition.

Of course it's not bad, but can still use some improvement.

I can whip her into shape :p

Nice face ....., because the body can be improved, but the face can't without surgery.

I actually just looked at that and thought what is wrong with her body - absolutely nothing!!

Then again I think men these days want a freaking super models body.

I can still happily and with ease date with a not so good figure because they actually see me working hard to rectify steroid damage (not the choice kind)

Definitely body, that what you enjoy, a face can be worked around. There is a point where too ugly is a game breaker but a great body can make up for a lot of bad faces.

Faces you can shove in a pillow, turn em around or turn out the lights.

Hmmm... I don't think that would last forever :lmao:

Unless they start mass producing cheap drugs that people can just swallow to improve their bodies without spending any time doing any actual physical activities or controlling their caloric intake...I don't really agree.

Sure, it "can" be done, but the majority of people will not do it successfully. Will not maintain for long. Will revert back to fat. Hell, they may not even try. Because it's far more difficult for them than someone else cause they are different and stuff. Insert excuses here.

Everybody also has the possibility of making a 6 figure salary and higher. There are a lot of things that people "can" do. Until they do it, I am not putting faith in them doing it.
