So..I'm probably going to need some advice on this one. I'm counting on you guys!

He didn't answer my last text, but we already made a plan for Monday, and the last text was jokey and didn't really require an answer I suppose..it was just banter. I don't want to be a stalker..but is it worrisome that he didn't reply?

No, just leave it be for now.

He said text or email him anytime but he could do the same so I'm leaving it alone!!

Thanks OC :)

Kali,

Here's some advice. Chill out. You are putting WAYYY too much stock into some random restaurant worker. By you asking so many questions so soon in the mating dance, you might not be ready to date yet.

You should go into this, (like I do every blind date) with little to NO expectations. Otherwise, you'll be posting messages about this new dude breaking your corazon.

I mean all of this with the utmost compassion and care. I'm worried about you.

^^^Exactly what I was thinking as well.... Remember, the healing process begins and ends with you. Not some dude who, in all honesty, is probably looking for a little boot knockin' with some random chick he delivered food to. Think about it...

You're vulnerable right now, and not thinking clearly. This is evident by this thread.

Nah. If it works out, it's an awesome story. If it doesn't work out, it's still an awesome story. I'm fine either way. There's no harm in enjoying myself in the meantime. :)

It's fun to think about but I have little to no expectations.

Also he's not a restaurant worker..he's a co-owner. Way cooler.

PS, I have a date with a different dude tonight..and another one next Thursday. Trust me when I tell you I'm not taking anyone seriously right now. I'm pretty sure it's going to be a LONG time before I open my heart back up. I can act like a silly teenager and still be grounded. No need to be buzzkills.

Geez..men are SO annoying sometimes!

I could have sworn YOU asked US for advice.

Good luck with that...

I don't think there's any need to be concerned about Kali. She's not looking for anything serious and I think the guys she's going on dates with know that. Until she does truly open up her heart again, she's just enjoying herself in the meantime.

Well you never know, your new romance could start soon :-) And I agree, it's nice to be asked out, keep things light!

Kali's a great catch. I mean... she's Kali, inventor of funny names such as Grumpy Guts and cool words like un-self-aware. :)

Kali, your positive vibe actually makes things brighter now! Would definitely love to know what happened after the date!!

PS: I had some random date few years back too, when a guy stopped me when I was on my way to my office (thought he was asking for directions). Apparently he got down the train just to talk to me and thought I was cute. We went out twice but I wasn't in the game so nothing went on. But it's still funny when I thought of it!

Hahahaha. What exactly does that even mean? Really??? Sounds like something a random dude would say to help himself into your pants. Hmmmm???

Why are you moving so quickly?? Why not take it slow and process, learn and grow? How long have you even been 'single'? Why move so quickly into a possible new RS? Rhetorical questions that you should be asking yourself...

Geez..men are SO annoying sometimes!

Actually, men are quite simple if you slow down and take the time to read them. I'd have to say, in all reality, women are much more confusing AND 'annoying'...

Well, I hope this all works out well for you, but I have to say that this thread kinda shows how unclear and impetuous your thinking is at this moment. But, you go girl!?!?

She has G.I.G.S. RUN FOR THE HILLS!

lol! Just kidding. Have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think it's just because statistically, finding a date is easier for a girl than it is for a guy.

This MIGHT Be a bad idea...but so what? I got a 29 year old friend with 3 kids who just got divorced. She isn't in any long term relationship and refuses to be

But she has dated a bunch of men for fun. She says she's catching up with all those lost teen years while she was married.

Gotta say, though I like her myself, I actually respect her decision, considering the men she's dating have girlfriends themselves.

Let me know right quick she ain't relationship material, but she still cool though.

So have fun, Kali!

But just to be clear, 3 dates in one week would be seen as impressive for a guy, in general.

A woman having 3 dates is almost the norm.

I stopped reading the replies to this thread and thus have not seen what the killjoys are saying. I am perfectly in control of my emotions. Just because I'm happy about a burgeoning crush does not mean I'm insane.

That's such a guy reaction. Women show the slightest bit of emotion and all of a sudden we are out of control and some men scatter like terrified cockroaches (NOT all of you..there are plenty of decent, non-cowardly men out there).

As it happens, my date last night (with a different guy) went well, and I'm happy about that. I'm going out with the other guy tomorrow and he's been texting me all weekend, and I'm happy about that too. I spent time with my best friend (a female) today and I'm happy about that too.

None of the above makes me crazy or out of control. I'm not going to read the replies to this because they were starting to get rude.

Everybody needs to get out of the bitter barn and play in the hay.

Such a serious response, such thought put into it, and such emotions felt through the text ...

Well, i think it's obvious you are very emotional right now and need to lie down.

Maybe it's too much emotion ... what with the separation and maybe other factors.

Killjoys? We give you sane, pragmatic advice and we are misogynistic killjoys? You, ma'am, are insane. And if you were in control of your emotions, you wouldn't be second guessing and obsessing over every damn text this dishwasher sends you. And asking US advice with every damn reply.

I'm not going to read the replies to this because they were starting to get rude.

Rude? We offer advice that YOU think is wrong because it's not what you want to hear and you consider it rude? You haven't seen rude yet. Keep up this ridiculous attitude after we are truly attempting to save your hide, and you will see rude.

Everybody needs to get out of the bitter barn and play in the hay.

No... you need to stop being a bitter baby and appreciate where we're coming from and be open to comments that aren't siding with your own (hidden) agenda.

Unappreciative, bitter, jaded individuals like yourself make me want to delete my damn profile.
