irc333
Something I've noticed about idle Meetup members, they always seem to come out of the woodwork if it's a national holiday or Halloween parties and so on. Then you never see them again. Some even come as far as an hour or so to these events, some commute to even MY town...they travel here. lol I wonder if people start seeing huge numbers RSVP is when they think it's worth riding out to or attending? I'm more of the mind of getting to know the members over a course of a few events as opposed to one, but when people sporadically attend events in this fashion, you don't want to come off as desperate either by asking for their # the first time you meet them....but, you may never see them again either. Yes? Doesn't have to be Meetups, but if you meet a man/woman esp. if you'r ea man and you know you may not see that person again routinely like you do your other friends in your circle of friends, do you make it a point to get their # on that day? organizedchaos
Why stress over this? "Hey, you on Facebook? Let's keep in touch." Done.
Babolat
I think single people feel more alone, lonely, on Holidays and thus want to get out and be with other people.
