how can you tell if a girl likes you

so this girl is my locker buddy, she is simply amazing beautiful smart and I lover her personality. We talk everyday and she touches my arm and sometimes gives me like a random hug when I see her in the hall. She also smiles at me and looks into my eyes when we see each other and talk to each other. She teases me a little but kind of flirtatious. So my question is does she like me as a friend or maybe more. We recently started speaking less so i really doubt it now, she still looks at me and all but yea i think she might be shy cause i am a year older and when i am with my friends it can be intimidating because they tease me and her about each other, and were a really small school so the word get around quickly and everyone knows each other.

Dating in high school is chock full of all sorts of social landmines & is riddled with anxiety. the good news is that everyone survives.

 

I think she may like you. Do you see her at school events -- dances, games & parties? Try talking to her at one of those times.

 

Work up to asking for a date.

I'm trying to think back to high school here.

The teasing and arm touches are good as long as you see she doesn't just do that to every guy she talks too.

If you catch her looking at you a lot. The not talking as much could mean she is shy, when I liked a guy back then I would get quiet cause I was super scared of saying something silly.

 

I think you should just ask her out, maybe to a movie or something? Go for it, life's too short to sit around wondering.

We sometimes go trough days without talking or anything and other days were flirting, touching ad talking so its all really confusing to me. I am a year older I also don't know if that's a bad thing.

 

It's only a year. Also,just see where it goes. A girl hugging is not a factor into liking you as something more. Girl s hug. If I see a good friend I hug him....She could be a touchy feely gal. Just feel it out with an open mind. Dont get too attached and hopeful that she feels the same way as you might become unhinged. I too look at people when I talk to them. I ist say that if she is not shy,she seems to be the to let you know.

I don't see her do this with other guys and when I kind of tease her about guys she always replies that their stupid and she doesn't like them. I just don't get that some days we don't even speak or see each other, like today I saw twice and we just smiled at each other.
