Whatever "side" wins at any particular moment is who we are at that point in time. that said, I honestly believe that people strive to do right, in the sense that they don't want to do harm to others. I believe that the issue isn't good versus evil, directly, but rather spirit versus flesh. I am more convinced of this every year older I get. Instead of saying something is good or evil, it's more accurate to say its of the spirit or of the flesh, respectively. Hear what is written in these verses: "The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. SkyLex Posted June 3, 2014 Share Posted June 3, 2014 i believe in the existence of both.. the world is a mixture of both.. its just a matter of which side you should be in. but no matter how you aspire to be "good" always, there will always come a time where you will be subjected to evil. there's no perfect good nor evil.. even evil doers may have a soft spot too which makes them good at some point.
