Photofinish
Today I feel really gross. My body is completely covered in what doctors are always calling a "allergy rash" I get about 5-7 new ones a day and my body looks like something off google images. I'm full of scabs and bites . They itch like crazy . I devloped a cold sore a few days ago and it's super gross. =( I cant see my boyfriend for about a week now . I want to cry because it's so nasty on my lip and covered in crust . It makes it look infected. I have my period today and it's so so heavy. It very annoying. I hate that I always have these skin rashes all the time and doctors can never tell me what it is. I cant wear dresses because I look like I am abused . I sorta just want to lie in bed all day until this all goes away... I feel gross and ugly. On top of that I have been OCD-ing about my coldsore! UGH. I keep thinking I have them in -other areas- by passing them over myself somehow. I wish I could eat better and not have to suffer from OCD and anxiety/ depression. Any advice for me? I cant see a therapist for a while and dont know how to keep my mind off this at home (I dont want to go outside because of all the sores). /rant over.
whichwayisup
You should go see an allergy specialist and get tested for your allergies. Hopefully they can recommend an over the counter cream or some other kind of medication to control the rash and itches. Don't give up! If this Dr isn't helping you and telling you it's nothing, then find another Dr. I suffer from anxiety. It never really goes away - I have many great days and weeks/months...But somehow it does make an appearance at times. Google cognitive behaviour therapy, and read up on that. Some books to buy, any Claire Weeks or Dr David Burns on anxiety and depression are very helpful. As well as Sam Obitz, 'Been There, Done That, Try This!' Haven't read that one but many think it's one of the best. Journal your feelings and thoughts daily (write it in a word program or by hand) it makes a difference just getting stuff out. Talk to trusted friends and family, reach out when you are feeling low. Try doing yoga and deep breathing, that will help relieve your anxiety and relax your mind too. Hope this helps.

I actually have seen a doctor for this. They just say I am allergic to dust and that it is everywhere or that little bugs bite me . I'm on the verge of doing a biopsy but I dont want the scar. I try to deal with this anxiety but I always feel better after talking it out with someone but that someone is usually not there. I tend to drive my sister crazy with my problems. I was thinking of maybe jogging more but im so out of shape. I feel like i'm pushing all my loved ones away with my anxiety issues . Thanks for the support.
FitChick
Are you allergic to fragrance? Perhaps the detergent used to clean your sheets, towels and clothes. Switch to all natural, fragrance free. Don't use soap but use a soap free cleanser, usually from a health food store.
Author Photofinish
I'm an RN. Firstly, congrats on expressing yourself on this forum. Good for you for letting loose. Be persistent!!! Your rash/allergy issues are very real. Don't Let anyone tie them to stress, anxiety. That is extremely unlikely. They are a reaction to something internal or in the environment. That's a plus because it means it is identifiable. Perhaps dust mites but....don't settle for 'perhaps'. Make them figure it out. Be very persistent. And this...you are one of millions. That doesn't help you personally but you are not some aberration or quirky person. This effects royalty to movie stars to the woman down the street. Millions. I won't give medical advice but do advise to plan well for any appointments. Make a list and ask questions. This is your life. If the doctor or medical staff get impatient...too bad. Prepare well and if they don't have the answers then ask what they are going to do to find out. Don't be passive and walk out of the examination room without a clear plan. Thank you. My mom did some good cleaning around my bed so hopefully that will help. I noticed I get these rashes when the weather changes. I want to do that biopsy but it will leave a scar! Ugh so frustrating. Thats the next step for the doctors as well.
