Sparky
Hey, I am currently 18 years old and in my 5th year of high school. When I was in Grades 9 - 11, dances were amazing. In Grade 12 and this year, some were great, and others were god-awful. The reason for this is because I don't see anyone there that I like to chill with for a while, or anyone that I really feel comfortable being around. Most of the people there are normally no older than Grade 11. I have no problem dancing with the ladies. The semi-formals and the proms are the best, 'cause everyone goes to those. I just got back from a Valentine's dance, I danced with quite a few girls for a little bit, but most of the time I just felt lost and like I didn't belong there. I couldn't find the energy to jump around and dance. There was this one girl that was a complete bitch to me, and I didn't even come near her. Don't get me wrong, the Halloween dance was REALLY good (for some reason I can't remember). It was probably because I didn't worry about anything. I don't know why I'd be worried now. I'm normally sooo laid back, and feel like I can do anything. Is there a way to help this depression and have a really good time? I don't want to just not go to dances. Was it because I just wasn't feeling it (good mood)? Anybody been in a similar situation?
Pocky
Why do you want to go to dances if you're not having a good time? I stopped going to dances (except the prom) when I was fourteen and entered high school.
Author Sparky
Because some are good and some are bad. Most of the time, they're pretty good.
