SkyJumper
That could be true........sometimes we're impatient when it seems "forever" has already passed and the "other" is prospering even more relative to life and personal matters and the "innocent" is sucking wind harder than ever before lol. amerikajin
A good "food for thought" question. I've never really believed in an interventionist God, although that's ironic considering I sometimes pray for/to one. I guess I'm superstitious. Personally, no, I think God stays out of human affairs. God has too much other s*** to do than to worry about every single little individual on earth. I think the Universe was set up in such a way that people can occasionally get away with screwing over their fellow man. I think it's simply a matter of odds. For example, someone embezzles money at work. Chances are, the first time they do it, nobody will notice. Try it five or ten times, someone probably will. A man cheats on his wife once, she probably won't know. Cheats on her 50 times, eventually she'll catch him coming home wearing some other woman's lipstick. It's a matter of odds. The ones who don't get caught doing their misdeeds are the ones who know when to stop betting against the house; most people don't. Some might find it unfair or unfortunate that someone could get away with immoral conduct. But I don't know...I've always felt that it somehow balances out. I mean, let's say for the sake of argument someone is lucky enough to get away with "borrowing money" from a friend and not paying it back (as a so-called "friend" did to me once), I somehow feel that somewhere down the line, he's got another bag of bad luck with his name on it waiting for him. I may not know what it is, and I probably won't be there to see it, but yeah, sometimes I think it's possible that the universe has eyes, that it does even the score somehow. Maybe we call it odds, but who knows...it could be something of a more divine nature.
emotionsmessmeup
forget god... but i think there is somethign divine or magical in life that seems to do good things! when one door closes, another opens and so on..
Author greenhorn
There are some people who will always be screwed by those whom they are good to and there are some people who will always screw those who are good to them. There is no check and no balance , depends on how long you are allowing yourself to be screwed and how many opportunities the other person gets to screw you.The final stage is that one who was screwed will carry the hurt all through his/her days while the other person who screwed you would be happily leading his/her days. depends which side are you ? P.S. 'you' is used here in generic sense.
