Outside opinion

Recommended Posts

Figured I would seek out an outside opinion on a situation I'm in.

I am 22, and never have had a gf. I met a girl about a 6 weeks ago through a mutual female friend (she started hanging out with the friend and by association me). Within a few days, we started to be around each other outside of the friend. In the past month there has only been 5 or 6 days that we have not hung out in the evenings, and if I dont call her at night, she calls me. Most of the time is spent while she is studying and I paint or read (graduated from college a few months back, so I dont really have anything to study), but usually neither of us gets much done due to conversation. We have also gone out to movies and an out of town concert just the two of us. There really isnt much in the way of physical contact, because we are both very uncomfortable being touched or touching other people unless it has been established as ok (and it hasnt yet). In the next few days, I am planning on asking her if she is interested in pursueing anything romantic with me. I just am fairly unsure if she is just interested in me as a friend or otherwise, mainly due to past experiences with other girls that seemed interested. With each of those cases, there was a lot of "apparent" attraction on both sides, and an seeming eagerness to go out. But, both times I ended getting stood up or strung along. This made me question the idea of being forward with another girl so easily.

I am just curious if I am just missing obvious hints here because I am acting jaded, or if I am setting myself up for another dissapointment.

Thanks

Live life without regrets man.

Just ask her out on an official date sometime. Or if she hugs you bye when you leave, give her a peck on the cheek. If she seems disgusted with the kiss on the cheek then it probably won't go anywhere.

Archit

I can sense you being very shy with girls and don’t know how to approach them b/c like you said you haven’t had an official gf. Girls aren’t so hard to read as you may think.

A lasting relationship always starts out as friends. Now try being a little bold and be romantic. Ask her out to dinner, by her a rose, kiss her. If she refuses then you know she’s not interested in you romantically.

Goodluck
