Abs are made in the kitchen. Eliminate sugar, reduce salt, and follow a low carb diet. You can drop several pounds of water weight in a week or two by doing just these things. That will really motivate you.

Add the exercise to then lose some serious fat. Less is more with cardio. More weightlifting will shrink you like you want.

Eat lots of chicken breast, broccoli, dark leafy greens, protein shakes, and limited sweet potatoes and brown rice. Make those your staples.

You can't spot reduce. Expend more calories than you consume. All else is hocus pocus.

Part of expending calories is firming up your body. Cardio and weights. The better you feel, the more you will want to pursue a healthy lifestyle...self fulfilling.

Mostly true, I heard liposuction can spot reduce

Thanks I will try to follow this advice. I hate eating most vegetables but I will make an effort to add the ones you mentioned in my diet. The only thing I won't be able to do is weightlifting since I have some shoulder problem and that's the issue with losing weight is that your body might not tolerate some types of exercise. Anyways thanks :)

If lighter weights doesn't hurt you then maybe you still can. I believe lighter weights with better form/range-of-motion actually provides huge benefit. Correct me if I'm wrong though because I'm no expert .

I absolutely love broccoli and oven-roasted asparagus, mmmmm.

Your body tolerates more than you think. You need to check out that shoulder problem, see what it is exactly.

I used to use heavier weights and was constantly injuring myself and then I couldn't work out at all. Switched to lighter weights with high reps (50+) and got much better results without losing a lot of strength.

Look on youtube for endurance workouts and body weight workouts. You don't really need any equipment other than your own body's weight.

For fat loss, diet is more important than exercise. Keep track of your calories, fat, protein and carbs on websites like MyFitnessPal.com.

And if/when you put weight back on, the fat goes right back to the areas that were lipoed.

I find it amusing that people don't bother educating themselves but instead throw their hands up in the air and do something pointless and ineffective instead of actually researching what to do and how to avoid injury. I've always found that astonishing.

In the future, reduce alcohol intake. That goes straight on to your stomach.

Thanks for the advice, but I don't drink alcohol so I know that isn't the problem

^^ THIS! I shrunk 2 pant sizes in 3 months by weightlifting, little cardio and eating foods like the ones Moonlit listed.

I find it amusing that some people think their way of doing things is the only way, especially when someone else gets better results doing things differently. I've always found that astonishing.
