I'm excited. I have the whole summer to work out and get fit (I'm a teacher) so no more "Darn, I gotta get up at 6:30 AM" excuses!

I've now done DDPYoga workouts 4 nights in a row, and 5 nights out of 6 nights. This is the first time I've done so many in a row as last summer. Wanna finally get trim and fit, especially since I will be the best man in October. Gotta look good for the speech! I have been feeling gross and disgusted at my belly lately. I have kind of really let myself go :(

But on the bright side, it's a new era and a new attitude. DDPYoga is fun, flexible (pardon the pun) and so far I've really trained my body to know from 9:30 to 10:30 PM, it's work out time.

Oh, I conclude by doing 2 sets of 15 burpees (google it if you don't know what that is). Day one, I barely got through one set. By day 3, I was able to do 2 sets. Wow, I'm feeling a lot more nimble and flexible since doing DDPYoga 4 nights in a row. The first set of burpees is now a cinch, whereas before I felt like literally passing out after just one set.

Wow! I just looked up DDP Yoga and saw Arthur's story:

Diamond Dallas Page

That's pretty incredible and really inspiring.

- Do you go to classes or did you buy a DVD or what?

- Also, are you changing your diet?

The burpees sound good, too.

Yes, it was the Arthur story that inspired me back in summer of 2012 to invest in DDPYoga. I highly recommend it although like anything else in life you get out what you put in. Arthur's story is very inspiring and the turn ons for me with DDPYoga are convenience, flexible adjustments and LOW IMPACT on joints. I saw CrossFit and P-90X... I don't want to work out for 90 minutes! The DDPYoga program I use I always pick the same two. The first is a 25 minute workout called Fat Burner, followed by a 12 minute closer called "Red Hot Zone" (which targets the abs).

It's a DVD set. I am altering my diet as well. Right now, I'm just starting out by cutting out fast food. I eat FF way too much, and I figure if I just cut that out, combined with the workouts, it should do me a world of good. Does anyone have any recommendations on good food to eat? I know lean chicken is healthy, but I'm not much of a food expert and would rather a food expert tell me what exactly works/worked best for them or someone they knew who lost a lot of weight versus googling it :p Thanks in advance. I heard avocado and tomatoes are good, but isn't avocado fattening? I don't like the taste of it much, either, heh.

I usually eat meats and white rice or pasta in a soup broth with chicken. Not sure how healthy those things are, but I know they beat fast food!

Update: The summer proved to be a stop and start. I never really maintained my DDP Yoga workouts consistently, and before I knew it, it was back to work and the "busy lifestyle."

But I'm proud to declare I've done DDPYoga every night since Christmas Eve.

Even better -- as of last week I cut out fast food and in just 5 days I can feel a notable difference, including a slimmer belly. Just from 5 days of no fast food and doing the workouts each night.

I'm excited to see what my body looks like after a month of this, two months, 3 and so on.

That's awesome - very inspirational! :) I have thought of doing the same but it's been difficult to juggle with work...

It's easier to start. Maintaining it is what makes the difference. OTOH, the start of a grand journey begins with one step. So just start whenever you can, and build on it, even if it's just 2x a week at first.

I've now worked out 55 nights in a row now... I did have a cheat meal this past weekend when I bought pizza but it had been 2 weeks and I was craving it. No one meal ever does you in... it's a culmination and so if I eat right for the next couple weeks I should be OK.

Key is finding out what workout program works for you. For me, DDP Yoga rocks because:

1. I can do it at home. No need to change into gym clothes, wear shoes or drive -- those excuses are thrown out the window

2. low impact on my knees and joints

3. the workout i do is a 25 minute video. long enough to get a decent work out in, but short enough to not be too time consuming.
