Kaiten
Yes, you read that right... I haven't been dating for a long time now - about 2 years. I have been "talking" to girls in general very little. I tried talking to black girls. I get along with them very well. But once the time comes around for me to decide if I want to seriously pursue a black girl, I would back off, and become indifferent. The thing is, I would ONLY talk to black girls (because I thought that was all I was attracted to). about 9 months passed, and I had not talked to any girls, because I thought they were all uninteresting (for some reason). Like I didn't feel drawn to them in an adventurous sense. Last monday night, my friend and I were walking outside, and two girls (who happened to be white) walked past us, and said something to my friend (I think they were neighbors). Even though it was night and I couldn't see their faces, I had this strange urge to strike up a conversation with them. But I let them walk past. The next day, at about 3 in the afternoon, I was leaving to go home, and as I put my backpack in the back seat of my car, I looked up and about 45 feet away, there was a girl (white) who was getting into her car. I'm not sure why, but I felt like she was attractive. I don't know what it was. I could barely tell what she looked like. I just felt drawn to her in a friendly/romancy way. And that's when it hit me. I was not attracted to black girls like I thought I was. Now all of this might not sound like a big deal, but here's the kicker: I live in the South. I don't know what to do! HELP!
bubbaganoosh
Well maybe the south isn't as hip as the north when it comes to interracial relationships but I'll bet the house that it exists down dixie way. Before you get all worried about this, it would be a good idea to see if she's interested in you. Look, it's not the 50's anymore so I wouldn't worry too much about it.
Author Kaiten
Heh, word. It might not be the 50's where you live. But it sometimes does feel like it where I live. I have actually turned down girls before (a year ago) just because I didn't know any better. They were beautiful, but I just didn't get the whole race thing. ...ah...i'm so confused. Haydn
mate you fancy who you fancy, even if she is green with a slightly blue hue. If she gives you a flutter in the old happy sac then.... Hope it works out. QUOTE=Kaiten;5738973]Heh, word. It might not be the 50's where you live. But it sometimes does feel like it where I live. Emilia
Bah, welcome to my world. I find attraction to different types of guys even now and I'm almost 42. I think your taste changes. I'm white and only dated white men until I hit my 30s and started taking interest in other races.

Look, if some Nigerian dudes can date white women in a country that is 90% caucasian and 8% Indian [ok, Gypsy] ... i think you won't have a big problem in the US. Yeah, some ppl will stare ... so what ?
Michelle ma Belle
What's the worst thing that could happen to you if you started to date white women where you live? Live and let live
