Happy Valentine's Day Stories

Recommended Posts

All too often I find Loveshack has tons of sad, depressing posts and I thought why not create a warm and fuzzy post dedicated to talking about what your spouse did to make your Valentine's Day extra special. Let's focus on all the things our significant other does right and share some happy stories.

Here's mine:

Yesterday was my first Valentine's Day as a wife and my husband made it so special. I still have the flowers he sent me last week alive (and smelling wonderful) in my office so I wasn't expecting him to do anything at work. I should have known better! My romantic husband hired a barbershop quartet to serenade me at work and present me with a yummy chocolate rose. He then gave me beautiful gold earrings to wear when we went out for dinner. The food, wine, conversation - and most importantly - the companion was excellent. I couldn't have asked for a more romantic, loving Valentine's Day. My husband rocks!

That's great!! It shows he took time and thought about what he was doing... :)

My BF is off on business for the week but he did send flowers.. The bad part is that he ordered them through Kabloom and they were delivered in a box by UPS and the roses were are mangled. I had to call for a refund to his credit and I cried the whole time. When he called I had to tell him and he was so sad. Like he let me down or something :(

Luckily he will be back soon and we will have a ball talking and laughing.

I miss him so much.

K

It's good that your boyfriend had the presence of mind to pre-order flowers so you would know he was thinking of you. It's too bad they were mangled. Make sure to let him know that you loved the thought!

It also our first Valentine as a married couple. Unfortunately, our usual lavish night out for Valentine's Day couldn't be done this year. We just bought a house and are completely broke with renovations! It's all good though, I'd rather be a home owner than go out to a $300 meal anyway. :)

My husband gave me a beautiful pop-up card. (I love & collect pop-up books and cards)

I left him alone with the TV and let him play his video game for as long as he wanted while I kept the dogs out of his hair. :)

Well my valentine's day I spent with a guy I've been dating seriously for three months now. He found out Friday that the company he works for was going to lay off some people, so needless to say he was on edge. So I did the best I could and made something for dinner I hadn't made before, made chocolate covered strawberries and bought some lingerie that actually fit me (kinda) for once from Victoria's Secret. Let's just say I had a really good night!!! :D:o

Well, my wife and I are in the process of recovering our marriage from her emotional affair about nine months ago. It began around this time, so this has been an important Valentine's Day in my opinion. I wanted to try to do something very special, but finances just wouldn't work out. So instead, I took Friday and Monday off, and spent that time with her doing things that she wanted to do. We did a lot of gaming together online, went shopping (bought her several nice little presents...nothing expensive, but little things that she loved), and just showed each other how much we love each other.

She suggested that we both get new watches for each other....so that we would think of each other whenever we looked at the time. We did...and it's had exactly the effect she wanted it to!

We both caught a horrible cold over the weekend though...so our Valentine's Day itself wasn't so joyous, but the overall weekend and time together was GREAT!!!

HI former marriage Forum buddies!!

I've been gone for awhile. :(

Seperated now, coming to grips with that. Just about divorced. Moving on to find a Moose/Mrs moose type of thing! :) yep, envy.

I was alone on Valentine's day.

I donated blood instead of buying chocolate, I planted a tree instead of buying flowers, I sent Valentines day cards to my daughters. And I sent an email to my ex-wife thanking her for what good existed in our marriage. I was very peaceful and serene. I celebrated the love I feel for my daughters, Myself, and my fellow human beings.

LoveShack is what helped me get there. This place is phenomenal!

like never before
