God won't do anything because he's not real, only you can change yourself. Don't let the sky fairy believers brain wash you!!

He'll change you if that is your choice, although I would suggest not playing games with Him, or where He is concerned- keep it real.

Then it's actually the OP changing himself

I think we need some more info on your situation.

1. Are you 29? Or in your view, did you only start "being a loser" after a few years of life? And if so, what was the event or occurrence that pushed you into being a "loser", as you see it?

2. What do you do for a living? How long have you been doing it?

3. What's your highest level of education?

4. What are your hobbies or interests?

5. When was the last sustained period of time in which you felt, overall, content and happy? What do you attribute that to?

6. Are you in good health? When was the last time you checked in with your doctor? Have you considered counseling?

Not exactly, God is quite the "gentleman" per se. He'll let us go on our own ways, abiding in our own ways until we reach our bottom. If we choose at that point to acknowledge Him, He will intervene.

Why doesn't god care about the starving kids in Africa? Or cancer victims? Or kids that die too early? Or parents of young children that are killed? Why does god allow war? Why does god allow rape? Why isn't he there for victims of crime?

Is it because they didn't acknowledge him?

God won't change you. It's not like fairy dust. You don't walk into church get blessed with Holy Water & viola you're a new person.

Since you said you identify as an agnostic, what is it that is drawing you to God now? Explore those things in a variety of ways through a variety of faiths. If something speaks to you, stick with it. You may find a home there filled will people who like you & want to support you in your personal growth.

The initial action is taken by the person, not by god (if the case can even be made that he exists or can intervene at all?), thus logically it's the person initiating and causing the change.
