So my sister lost weight...SO WHAT?!

Hello all. Recently my sister has lost a few pounds because of an illness that caused her to refrain from eating. Before she was sick she weighed 104 lbs and now she weighs 98 lbs .i am not jealous or anything but it does make me upset that she calls me "thunder thighs" or "fat". Mind you, i weigh 108 lbs.

My sister and i are twins and i was the bigger of the two when we were first born. Over the years my sister got taller than me so she was always a few ounces bigger than me. The other day my mom pulled out our baby pictures and asked us if we knew who was who. My sister said "chelsea is the fat one just like she is today."

As we entered high school i participated in a lot of weight lifting and exercise management classes. i am definitely the more physically fit out of us but because i gained so much muscle, my thighs are bigger than hers and i am trying to get my six pack back (I'm not fat, I'm pretty slim i just want my hard abs back).

Now i look at her because yes her waist is a bit slimmer than it was before she got sick and her thighs have gotten a bit thinner and i immediately criticize myself. My mom and her keep ganging up on me even though I'm more fit than they ever will be (sorry mom). I have considered not exercising anymore and going into full anorexia but i know that it could do damage on my body. Any advice would be helpful!

What is her height and age? 98 pounds may not be too healthy. She can call you thunder thighs, but she is definitely not healthy at that weight.

Depending on factors, age and height.

Frankly you look fine in your picture. If you are more active, just let her words slide off of you. After all, you know you're in good shape, that's all that matters.

You needn't abs to show to be considered healthy :)

Your mom is wrong, and sadly, shouldn't be ganging up on you.

Thunder thighs isn't all bad.

:/ more than likely your sister would gain back this weight she lost due to a lack of eating.

She is competing with you over shallow trivial stuff. Time to be the bigger person and ignore her. The difference of pounds between you two is really nothing and she is just being rude and jealous of you for whatever reason. Have you talked to your mom about her being mean? If not, do so and then try hanging out away from her, ignore her, show her she can't treat you bad then expect you to want have a sisterly relationship with her. Worked with my mean sister. Now, as adults, we are close.

She is your twin, that's special. Your mom is running interference and pitting you two against one another, that's got to stop! Be happy for her that she lost that weight, though to lose weight when sick isn't fun..

Don't compare yourself to her and she shouldn't be comparing herself to you. Each of you are unique! Don't let petty things ruin and upset you. Try to laugh it off and not let her words upset you. Sisters fight and argue, that's normal but when it gets mean on purpose that's when you two need to stop and talk it out nicely.

Losing weight when sick always comes back on you

Don't sweat it and enjoy it when the weight does creep back up on her.;)

I'd say so, you are both pretty short.... O.O

Well, don't let it bother you, but your mom needs to stop it.

You look beautiful, and thunder thighs in good shape nothing wrong with that!! :);)
