rodawaybecky
On Saturday night I went out clubbing with a few of my friends just looking to have fun and nothing more. By about 1 am I was drunk and fell over embarrassing myself completely, a stranger picked me up and asked if I was okay etc. I smiled politely and thanked him. As the night progressed he kept finding his way by my side e.g. at the bar, on the dance floor, the table next to me, outside in the smokers area and so on. I made a joke out of it and said "well you just keep appearing everywhere tonight, you must be following me" anyway we ended up striking up a conversation and we got on like a house on fire. My friends wanted to leave the club so I did something iv never done before and asked him for his number. He was delighted to give me it and afterwards we all ended up leaving the club together. We stayed out all night laughing and talking until about 6.30 am when I decided to leave, I told him I would contact him and I did just that. We texted back and forth for 3 days solid, finding out about each others lives and what we like to do etc. Every time I let the conversation die down he would reply with a question to keep it going; he asked me yesterday if I would like to see him again and of course I said yes. He ended the conversation quite abruptly and told me he was going to bed. I have not heard from him at all today and while I think the break is good, I am also thinking that maybe he isn't as interested as I thought because I know men peruse women that they like. Any ideas?
Trep
It's only been a day. He could be playing hot and cold to keep you interested or he could just be genuinely busy.
PegNosePete
Why not send him a good morning text, and ask when he would like to meet up?

Any ideas? So my guess is .... his aim was to achieve exactly what has happened here. Confuse you and make you unsure of yourself. Make you wonder whats going on and get you thinking about him more and trying to figure out why he hasn't responded. I have a friend who considers himself quite a player and its a regular tactic he uses. "Catching them and throwing them back" he calls it. The guy has honestly told me when he texts girls he has met at a club he will always either cancel on them or not respond once he gets a girl to agree to a date. He actually said to me his goal is to get girls asking her friends what it means and going online to like yahoo answers asking people for advice. Seriously he said that .... so if I am right you have done exactly what he wanted. Its effectively turning the tables on the "girls playing hard to get thing". Same psychological idea .... bit of a mind F#$% but people always want what they can't have. By pulling away he gets you to over commit and feel like you need to do extra to impress him. You go from evaluating whether you actually like the guy to trying to figure out why he doesn't like you or whats going on with him. It makes it more likely you'll put out on a date etc etc etc. My guess is he is sitting waiting for you to text him .... he will come up with a fake excuse as to why he had to cut off and go to bed and agree to meet up for a date. Let me know how it turns out because I would be interested to see how close my guess is. Alternative guess would be he is maybe in a relationship and just likes to know he can still get some.
