pappa k
Is this a logical fear . I'm over my ex and ready to move on but I'm scared that I won't be able to find anyone.
R3d
I feel the same, minus the "ex" part.
todreaminblue
love isnt logical finding it has no set path, no direction no route and no equation to follow to get there ...... so no it is not irrational that you feel this way but....you have to live your life regardless of fear when you do find love eventually it will be meaningful because you went through everything and felt everything fear hesitation confusion happiness joy sadness and then to feel that love it becomes even more meaningful..because to feel the effect of love or is it affect of love you have to knwo what its like also to be lonely....or alone or both...it becomes more meanignful then when you find soemone special......or that special soemone...and there are possibly many someones not just one.....do not lose heart or faith in the process....good luck........deb
Author pappa k
I'm afraid of that as well. Or that she will only love me for my money. I think I'm just worried after the whole garbage with my ex
FortunateSon
I have this fear too, it can be very consuming. I am over my ex and feel like I am in good place to meet the right person, but constantly feel like I will never meet someone who's available that has the mix of qualities I am looking for in a partner. I don't know if it is rational or not, but part of me feels that the older I get, the harder it will be to find what I am looking for...
sumathi
Do not have such fears. Life moves on and you forget your disappointments and anguish. You too will find someone who truly loves and you can start your life afresh. Good luck!
central
I think your fears are unfounded. Dating and finding someone gets easier for men as they get older, as long as you're realistic about who you can attract. Demographics works in your favor, too - there are more women looking than there are available men as you get older, so you'll be in ever greater demand. I don't know how old you are, but after 30 your market value increases unless you're badly flawed. So, don't worry about it. Work on yourself, stay fit and healthy, and most of all be interesting (find a hobby or activity you're passionate about, but preferably not stamp collecting!). Think about how best to meet and date women - for me, it was online dating.
Author pappa k
I'm 24. Online dating don't seem to work for me
FortunateSon
I agree, I find I have a lot to offer someone, I have been successful in online dating in regards to meeting and going out with people, but no one has piqued my interest in terms if a long term match. I am realistic about who I can attract and not overvaluing myself, but I have yet to find that person yet I feel "fortunate" to be dating.
