Has anyone ever had this?

Like I said: Either re-define your definition of 'friend' or find better ones. Not everyone is a sheep. Me? I classify myself as a particularly rare breed of mountain goat....I don't play 'Follow my Leader' with, or for, anyone.

I'm afraid we're the exception.

No - YOU aren't, otherwise this wouldn't be bugging you so much.

I'm not a sheep and never done this to someone else. That's why I posted this in the first place.

why are you even still thinking about this?

They're not even thinking about you at all! Drop it, and walk away, for cripe's sake...! Let it go.

Because I've had similar situations as an adult and I can see these people on my facebook feed. I just want friends that aren't willing to stab you in the back. I wonder why I don't get any loyalty, while people who lie and backstab do.

I've also experienced this as an adult. Mean Girls don't change.

anyone can change......and i do believe that mean girls can change ....my sister did.......she used to laugh when my step father would say whale in the back or fats domino in the back better go down the driveway a different way when we were driving he thought it was funny my sister thought so too because he would be so happy with his "jokey" comments...because i never let on how much it hurt.....until i was much older.....she actually confronted my step father about it as an adult....i feel guilty because she no longer talks to him now.......she had an all out battle and hisi treatment fo me as a child came up...........my sister can be grumpy....so can i........but she has changed and grown and i love her regardless....of whether she is mean or not.....i love her more when she is not....because she is easier to love...mean girls can change......if they see what they are doing and hwo ti affects someone.....i believe most of the time they dont really know until they feel that hearts urge to look deeper into what they say and do..a change of heart normally involves confrontation of some kind.......deb

I understand what you're going through. The same exact thing happened to me.

You have a choice to either move on in your life or not too. People in high school are cruel and immature. Hopefully, those same people have changed their ways as they've grown older.

Move on. Don't fault people for what happened in the past. Judge them based on how they are now. Forgive them, so that it doesn't burden your heart.
