Proto
I was curious as to how you guys address your mother/father in-law. Do you call them mom or dad? Mr/Mrs and lastname? Or just by their first name? Just curious.

oldfashion
I am calling him " almost-dad " . he calls me " almost-daughter" . i know it sounds funny. We are getting married in a week and i am going to call him " dad " . I do not like my mother in-law at all. She is a freak. I used to call her " Kathy" ( this is her name) . I no longer call her with this name because i do not talk to her. My fiance calls my mom " mom " ( in my native language ) and my dad " sir "

glitter-gal
Not married but pretty serious... I call my man's parents by first names but I call his grandmother "Grandmother" as does everyone else in the family. My 4 yr old calls them Mr. (first_name_here) and Miss (first_name_here) & Gramuder (as most children loose sylables in longer words... He also calls my parents by first names. However my mom (who has been married for 19 years to my stepdad) calls his parents Mom & Dad now but did not immediately do so in the beginning of thier marriage.

fairy_dust
Well in my culture we usually call the in laws 'mom' or 'dad' but depending really how comfortable you are or if they address what they would like to be called. I call my in laws mom and dad it makes it more repsectable for me, my hubby calls my parents by their first names. Again depends on you and how comfortable you are.
