uprooted
I was using our home computer and I researched for a paper - often I have to go back and find sources, and I used the history so I could go back and see where I searched. I saw my husband had spent quite some time "googling" the phrase "naked little girls" - he typed it into google about 15-20 times. He also googles "naked teen selfies" quite a lot over the past month. I know teens can be 18-19 so I don't say much. No, I don't like it - but I'm not here to debate porn. I'm here to ask if the fact that he googled that, is that enough to have him on the hook for anything. I'm assuming it's not enough for me to report it - is it? There appears to be nothing on the computer - I do know he downloads pornographic movies. From what I can tell - nothing has been with young girls. He deletes it RIGHT away. He usually has not kept pictures, either. So there's nothing on the computer evidence wise. My question is - there is no point to report this, is there? He's already deleted this history of that little girl search. If I could report this anonymously would they start monitoring him, and do something if he kept searching? Or is this pointless? YES, I am going to leave him, I know this is disgusting. And no, we do not have kids. I have always believe pedophiles and people who do this do not just get better, things actually will get worse, and I don't want to find out he does something bad and I regret not speaking up. Also, if he does something later and I don't speak up but it comes out I knew, maybe I'd be in trouble. I very rarely use the computer - but I don't want to get myself in trouble - like, since I live in the house, they could suspect it was me? So I am afraid to report for that reason. And I don't want to report him and find out they aren't going to do anything, and it causes a lot of pointless drama. Would it be better just to leave and forget it, or should I try to report it? Will the police even care? Can I go to a website and report it anonymously, pretending I was a guest in the home that saw it? I don't know what to do. But if I report it and they start monitoring him, I'd stay off the computer and maybe because he does it while I'm at work, I could prove I was at work and it wasn't me... I dunno. I could use some technical advice (I already know it's gross and wrong, and reporting it or not, police or not, I need to leave, and I AM) Edited July 31, 2014 by uprooted
lollipopspot
I would suggest contacting the police, telling them the situation, and asking them what to do.
almond
Go to the local police station, and file a report. Hopefully it results in a search warrant, and the seizure of the computer. They can then determine how far he has gone with this...it is generally treated very seriously - definitely worth reporting.. Sorry this has happened to you, and very glad to hear that you are leaving. Don't say anything to him about this - go straight to the police. I suggest preparing yourself and your things, ending the relationship, and leaving the house immediately (if you live together) You don't need to explain anything...leave while he is at work, block his number, don't tell him where you are going. Tell him that you do not wish to be in this relationship any longer, and that you do not want him to contact you.
Thruster
uprooted: Ask him - sit down and ask him guys looking at porn -- (not new) guys seeing a hot girl and looking for more of her pics - (also not new) when regular horney guys find out that it was a way too young girl 99.5% of us stop searching - looking - or wondering we get it - she is too young to even be on sites now if he is is the group of 99.5% -- he is just a horney man if he is in that .5% and find it attractive and gets his rocks off well - take a sledge hammer to his balls then call the police
rewl
Funnily enough, I remember a police officer discussing this with us a while ago at school. There is no way you can be charged if you type in "naked little girls" in google or "naked teens". In order to be found guilty of accessing child pornography you basically have to have done the following: 1) Created (that includes downloaded) images of underage nude children. 2) Created those images WITH INTENT (i.e. on purpose, not accidentally). 3) Created those images for SEXUAL purposes (i.e. not research purposes, artistic purposes, family purposes like family photos etc.) In order for him to even be charged the police would basically have to somehow prove ALL 3 of the above (there might have been more, I can't remember the full details). The bottom line is, it's much more stringent than you actually think to be charged with creating child pornography. If you tell your mates that he's a pedophile, and he has not been charged with accessing child porn, you could end up with a defamation claim on your hands, so be careful. Keenly
I've used this search term before..not because I'm looking for underage girls, but because I'm looking for girls that are small, short, because that's what I like. The contex of the word little has different meanings. Also, if he's looking for underage porn on Google, he will not find any. Google is very good about policing their search results for illegal activity.

I had no intention of viewing anyone under the age of 18, but I was looking for a specific pornstar that I didn't know by name. When you get good at Google searches, you know search results change by moving words around. Little in this case refers to small, petite. NOT young. That's just weird. It doesn't help that people that label porn videos when they upload give them stupid names like " little girl next door bangs friends grandpa " or stupid things like that. I have talked to him about this before, and he tells me the same thing - when googling and the 2 main porn sites he uses, that it will not be found (underage porn). He really is dumb enough to use that search term and not get it. Not that I'm going to make an excuse for him. I'm seeking counseling as soon as I can. I have always told him I never had a problem with him and porn, but it's excessive and caused us a few financial issues, as well as distracted him from a few important things. I tell him I know he uses it, and I don't have a problem, and he tells that to his brother, but then he acts embarrassed and hides it from me. I think it's about other problems, and that's his escape (depression, health) He absolutely refuses help or counseling for ANYTHING so I've got to deal with things on my own, here. Keenly
If I were to search for "little naked boys" there's only one thing I'd expect to find. I know but people that upload videos of men use big strong tough hulking hunks as tags. Hey, I don't write the silly names. If I was master of all porn on the internet, all scenes would be like " Billie Joe, dirty vixens 14, scene 5 ". But I'm not. So instead I have yo browse through videos labeled " tiny little girl gets plowed by 17 huge dongs " Trust me, a real " little girl " is the last thing I want to see. Talk about instant flaccid....
Priv
Terms like 'little girl', 'small', 'petite', 'young', 'teen' etc. are pretty normal and accepted lexicon in porn. How do I know this; I watch porn . Googling the phrase 'naked teen selfies' in that sense is more incriminating than 'naked little girls'. It shows more intent, but can't really put the words together to explain why. As if looking for a dumb teenager showing her stuff on facebook rather than a 'professional'. But maybe it is the voyeurism aspect of it all. I don't know. Not that I am defending your husband or even pretend to know what he is looking for. In any case, I highly doubt you will find child pornography randomly googling for it. That is fairly well protected I believe. What you should watch out for are forums like this one. Child pornography is usually exhanged through protected forums. So that's a line of inquiry you can make. Also watch out for programs that acces the deep web which is rife with it. Just with these 2 search terms I don't think the police will do anything about it.
almond
I've watched a lot of porn, but a google search of "naked little girls" is quite alarming in my eyes. It wasn't a porn site he was searching...it was google. I don't plan on testing it, but I imagine the results yielded a lot of underage and possibly prepubescent girls. He searched this up to 20 times. I would still speak to your local police department. You cannot be charged with defamation for sharing your concerns about something you have seen. They will choose whether or not to investigate...tell them what you know, leave it with them, and move on. If they choose to investigate, the fact that he has deleted his history won't matter...they will be able to uncover it.

He searched this up to 20 times. See, that's the thing. It doesn't. Google doesn't roll like that. We are talking about a company thats in cahoots with the NSA. Google searches, search results, and spider results are HEAVILY monitored and regulated. Have you ever searched for something and found an empty search result line that said content removed? They are on top of there game (a little scary if they ever wanted to censor anything like free speech, but thats a different story) Point is, people will use google to search porn because there are 5 billion websites out there, and searching one at a time is a pain in the ass. If he really was looking for underage illegal stuff, he would be using things that are NOT google, yahoo, bing etc.

But, turns out we didn't have the money because he spent a good chunk on porn sites, didn't tell me, so I obviously thought we had xx amount of $$ in the account, when we did not. There would be a strange charge on the account, he would deny it, so I would take time to call and try dispute it, then later he would have to admit it was him... leaving me to have wasted my time, feeling stupid to boot. Author uprooted
Well, I feel really ignorant, and I know it sounds ignorant and many wouldn't believe me... but he doesn't at all seem like he would be interested in actual children. I have always told him as long as it's legal, I don't care. I mean, it seemed like that's a normal, OK thing... but then he's going on 40 and googling 18-19 year olds half the night, now it doesn't feel so OK I guess. But then most sites don't exactly list the people's ages, so then if you look at porn as long as you aren't looking at anything illegal, then what? I know most people are like, "If she's 18 she's a teen, she's still like a child, that's disgusting" and yeah, of course it's bothersome. But we used to share a computer all the time and I've seen what he's into. I've never seen anything really child-like or underage before. This recent crop is all there's been. If I do report it, I did see there was a website with a link... can I do this anonymously? Will they take it as seriously?
Zeurich
as I understood your statement your husband downloads porn, and he search for naked selfies, and little naked girls, and you want to leave him because of only that? And you are desperately thinking police thinks it might you? If you have not searched for those why you are afraid of? Why you should get in to a trouble? you have no case even if your husband or partner take a knife against you and you call the police they will release him with saying there is no enough evidence. That is what happened here in The Netherlands. What I can say is talk to him ask him is he is sexually frustrated. And ask him if there is anything that you can do to help him to get over with. Or you can watch it together with him and have a good excitement too.

I didn't see what I saw, it's an accident, I'm out of my mind, stop looking at the computer cause I must not know what I'm talking about. That's what I don't get. I'm open to things and I try to watch with him and do things, I've suggested it a million times... but it's like he's all embarrassed and ashamed and doesn't want to be into anything or do things. There was a time he even stopped wanting sex all together... I had to practically beg for it. He finally snapped out of it and seems to have his usual amount of desire back. But for some reason he won't share that side with me, even though I'm totally open to all sorts of things. I've tried talking to him about fantasies and doing new things, but he just shrugs it off. amaysngrace
He's creeping on teenaged girls who take and post naked selfies. That's really really disturbing. It's border predator behavior. If he has scanned through the many many pics I'm sure he's seen under aged girls...or children... Are those the only words he's ever searched for to look at porn? Like a fetish? Also, I don't know where you are but in the US (and I suspect where you are too), it is illegal to even possess child porn, you don't have to create it. From the Dept. of Justice: Federal law prohibits the production, distribution, reception, and possession of an image of child pornography USDOJ: CRM: Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section Also Notably, the legal definition of sexually explicit conduct does not require that an image depict a child engaging in sexual activity. A picture of a naked child may constitute illegal child pornography if it is sufficiently sexually suggestive.
