I need help. I'm in love with another man who is married and has two children. Ive been married for 13 years and I have two children. My husband has a terrible temper and he verbally abuses me and my oldest son. I still love my husband but I'm not in love with him. However, I am in love with this other man. We are truly soulmates, neither of us have ever felt this way before. The problem is he can't leave his two children even though he isn't in love with his wife...he does love her. He wants to continue our relationship as it is. I want so much more. The biggest problem is we work together and we have to be together approx 9 hours each day. I don't know if I can live without him but he can't give me the relationship I need. Any advice?

You need to ask yourself "What is best for me"

Your letter sounds as if you are depepndent on your Husband. This is not unusual in an abusive situation as most controllers strip away your self asteem. When someone comes along that pays attention to you and gives to you what is missing in your life it can be easily mistaken for love.

You express doubts therefore I would think hard about both relationships. If a love is strong and right there would be no doubts

You also metion the "Relationship I Need"

Although this is not easy try replacing needs with wants. You can provide all your "Needs" yourself.

have a look at my home page and check out the questionaire on the Domestic Violence page
