msbettyb
Wondering if anyone has tried the Hoodia product for weightloss or any plans that actually work. Thanks
LucreziaBorgia
I saw a piece on this on the news program "60 Minutes". Interesting stuff in that article. While eating the cactus works, I'm wary of any products currently on the market that list it as an 'ingredient' - a lot of the sites say that theirs are the only "legit" ones and all the others are counterfeit. Unless you are actually eating the cactus itself or taking that patented extract of Phytopharm's, it probably won't work. The article said that Pfizer Pharmaceuticals was onboard with Phytopharm, but dropped funding when it became apparent that there was not a way to have it work in a pill form. If a major pharmaceutical company can't make it work in a pill form, then you can bet that these "diet pills" you see now are probably bogus - you'll be paying for capsules of ineffective powder. The company mentioned in that article have some things in the works, but it will be years until you see their stuff on the shelves. You'll likely see it in a dried plant form rather than a pill though.
