tiki Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 This morning, I was getting ready and noticed my son was being REALLY quiet, and not in my bedroom hanging out (which he normally does). I called for him a couple times, he came into my room. I asked him what he was doing. "Nuffin Mama"...ok, suuuuure....little liar. He had the chapstick in his hands. I said "What are ya doin'?" He said "I put chapstick on Starz" (um, our bunny rabbit)...I was like WTF?!??!?!? This child is wearing me out. I was trying not to burst out laughing...OMG. So for Valentine's Day, he gives me a dead ladybug - most of you guys have heard this story. Um, I still have it, but what am I supposed to do with it? lol He picked me some dandelions and they've been sitting out in the garage for a couple of weeks - yeah, okay they're dead. And he wants me to plant the "sunflowers" -- "They're not sunflowers sweety, they're weeds"...lol. But he's begging me to plant the damn things. And he keeps arguing with me that they are sunflowers, and that he learned that in school. OMG my child keeps me ROTFL! If he's not puttin chapstick on the bunny's lips, he's got him zipped up in his miniature suitcase rolling him around the house.
EC Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 LMAO I know what you mean. They do the cutest things. My aunts kid is in the "why" stage. Asking why about everything. At first it was cute now I just want to scream "BECAUSE". Hes also in the I'm a big boy not a little boy anymore stage. So he came down the stairs dekked out in all his fathers clothing because he was big now he has to wear big people clothes. lol Its funny how he will fight with you to the death that hes a big boy now..but you tell him pick up your toys because big boys pick up their toys he answers " Im little today again" I melt.
Merin Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 These are the reasons I love my little people! When my youngest is doing something OR about to do something she knows isn't okay with me.. she will say to me "Mommy, don't look at me okay? My oldest goes around asking random guys who she thinks are looking at me or flirting with me "Why do all the men think my mom is hot?!" They are so funny and I love thier little butts.. life would be so dull without my girlfriends!
Author tiki Posted March 4, 2005 Author Posted March 4, 2005 lmao...I'm little again....omg My son got some shaving cream and play razor, he likes to shave. Funny, he just started wiping his own ass, but he can shave???!?!?!?? I love that child.

Author tiki Posted March 4, 2005 Author Posted March 4, 2005 My son flirts with my new step-daughter (his step-sister!!!)...he says he wants to marry her and kiss her too. And when she looks really pretty he stares at her....lmao. And she's like "ewww, you're gross". Kids are weird.
EC Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 LOl I think its funny how my aunt gets her hair done and her husband doesn't notice but as soon as her son see's her he says" mommy your hair looks pretty" how adorable is that?

Is he around three? because my nephew is going through those exact stages and it was cute in the beginning but now it's a bit annoying. It's why this and why that
EC Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 LOL hes turning 4. AT first it was so cute but know its like stop it. At first they want to now why..but then they figure out it gets annoying and do it on purpose to see how long you will go along with it. I finally got him to stop when I said " Because I said so thats why" he just kinda looked at me funny and said ok.
Naive Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 Me nephew would probably ask, "why do you say so? lol somehow I do not think he does it to irk me but he really wants to know why!!!!!
Merin Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 BOTH of my kiddo's ask Why.. So I ask them after awhile.. WHY do you need to know?
Author tiki Posted March 4, 2005 Author Posted March 4, 2005 My son went thru a phase where he ignores people, my husband for instance. And it makes me crazy and drives me mad. So one morning I ignored what he was saying. He kept on and on and on, I would just stare at him. "Sucks to be ignored, huh?" -- He never did it again.
laRubiaBonita Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 i teach swim lessons to kids ages 4-75! but the Boys that are around 5-6... are the best laughs! they are just being taught and learning that the differences between boys and girls are not supposed to be talked about to everyone or pointed out. well when we are in class and no parents around, i get groped, grabbed, titty nipped, butt slaps, the occasional kid that feels he must kiss you at any given moment! i feel used after teaching! not to mention generally bruised and beat up. But i love it! i have a 4 yr. old boy in private lessons, that makes the best faces! course he does not know it, but i am constantly laughing at his "pained" and "concentration" faces! i want one of my own!

One day out on the playground.. he came over and sat down on my lap.. he looked at me and said "Miss Merin, you've got a great butt" I asked him "Who did he hear that from? What made him say that?" LOL he looked at me all serious and said "My Dad said I'm not suppose to tell you that":lmao:

Nubianangel Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 Kids are great and I absolutely adore my son! Kids have a knack for knowing when somethings wrong and also for saying the wrong thing at the wrong time in front of the wrong people! For example, after a really sad breakup, I was kind of dragging myself around the house. My son was in the shower and I popped in to use the bathroom. I'm sitting there on the verge of tears and without peeking his head out of the shower he says out of the blue 'Don't worry mom, I love you. God loves you.' Now, I don't know if he heard me on the phone or venting to a friend but his words made me feel a bit better. As for saying the wrong thing, I had company over. My goddaughter comes downstairs, she's holding one of my bras and says 'godmommy, I asked Tamari (my son) what's this and he said it's the thing that holds the big things.' My friends still laugh about that one to this day!
Lil Honey Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 When my daughter was little, she would play with one of those See and Say toys that you make the dial point to the cow and the voice says, "The cows says, 'Moo'". So one day I was in the waiting room of the pediatrician's office, full of people and out loud she says, "Daddy's butt do . . . [insert fart sound here]." I think that was (one of) my most embarrassing moments.
