Author R3d
If you want to marry a virgin girl, you're going to have to marry young. That's what I thought. Like how young? Once you get your first girlfriend and start making out with her, it's going to be really difficult to wait years to have sex. True - there is also that possibility of me being unable to control myself. Best bet for what? Announcing your intentions? Dating? Dating and when it's time for marriage in the future, being able to find a girl who is a virgin willing to wait until marriage. Again, I reiterate, I am only entertaining this idea and seeing how I would have to play out things if I was to make this decision.
acrosstheuniverse
Did they actually test these women for intact hymens?... TFY Hymens have very little to do with it, there's absolutely no way of 'proving' someone's virginity medically. Hymens can get torn doing sports, horse riding, masturbating. Just thought I'd put that out there. It's a common misconception and one that can have grave consequences in cultures where girls have their genitals inspected to ensure they're virgins before marriage: imagine the poor girl who has never had sexual contact but gets branded a slut by her community because it tore some other way.

Relax...we all know about this....It was meant to be a joke..... But really....How reliable can a poll be about something like this?...I gotta imagine that there is a large percentage that are just going to lie about it, even in an anonymous poll.. gaius
I know Elizabeth Smart ran off and married some super religious guy who I'm sure was saving himself, but after her miserable experience as a sex slave for so many years I'm sure it was relaxing to not have a guy putting his hands all over her. I'd be surprised if they have sex even now that they're married. Long story short, there's probably women out there that will but odds are good they won't be that into it after marriage either. But maybe that's what your looking for if you're waiting as well.
central
Your best bet? Probably an arranged marriage if your parents can do that.

dclan
Let's say you go on some dates with a man and you find out that he is a virgin waiting until marriage and by that he means the limit is making out and stripping down to bikinis and panties (so nothing further than this is permitted). No direct touching of genitalia (and breasts for men) or making the other cum either. He's not religious, or very mildly so. He's doing this because he likes the idea of two virgins learning how to sexually please just each other (so he wants his first time to also be another person's first time) and it ensures that they are both in love first. Basically he values sex to a high degree and wants to reserve it for only the woman that he is completely committed to and vice versa, as it is the most intimate act two humans can take part in. Also, statistics are suggesting that having premarital sex, especially as a teenager, is linked to higher divorce rate. Would you date such a man? Would his dating pool be significantly reduced if he decided to take this route? I am not officially taking a stance on this, but I am flirting with the idea and entertaining making this choice, so I want to see what you people think. He won't be a virgin for long if you start dating. Temptation will win. Specially if it is not because of a religious thing. I mean, he won't sleep with you in the first few weeks, he will try to resist, but he will probably end up sleeping with you a while after. Wouldn that be awsome? In fact you will probably like it, because you know this guy will probably treat your body like that of a godess. Let me tell you something. The first one for a guy...thats like the most sacred thing there is to a man. Man's entire purpose in life is to have sex :p, not having it, is just a waste.
MissBee
I'm not a virgin so if he wanted a woman who was also a virgin so their first times could be after marriage together, I'd automatically be excluded. However, I am not averse to dating a virgin or someone waiting for marriage. I've never done it, but I admit there is something endearing about it and if all other things were right I would. Now, how it would actually plays, that is whether or not I'd become frustrated, is a whole other story.

I probably wouldn't be able to abstain to the degree that the OP is mentioning (no genital contact or orgasm!), but I think the concept of saving something for marriage in general is sweet. OP, IMO, don't worry about it for now. You're still very young and have plenty of time to make a decision. Just don't let this philosophy rush you into a marriage that you're not really ready for at a young age - the consequences of that could potentially be pretty terrible.
d0nnivain
R3d Your best bet for right now in your teens in high school is to find a GF. Fall in love. Do all the things that will make great memories. Once you are in love & approaching your 20s you can make more informed decisions about having sex. It's absolutely fine to say you want to wait for marriage. It's also fine to reevaluate that decision later. There is something to be said for keeping the #s low but still having some experience. The fairy tale about learning together & teaching each other doesn't work because it's the blind leading the blind. Knowing you are compatible has value but so does being true to your own convictions.
