Priv
My brother gave me his old smart phone since I did not have one this weekend. Having been corrupted by LS I downloaded Blendr, Tinder and Down. I was going for Pure too but that is not out for android yet. I am not into casual sex so this was more a thought experiment and like they say in 'interview with the vampire' provide a link with these times. The smart phone is my Louis First of all I want to say smart phones are a disaster. My family is constantly saying stuff on whatsapp and telegram. It is driving me nuts and feel bad for not looking because first of all, I don't really care what they have to say en masse, and second of all I don't care for the constant bleeping of the phone. But... First evening I was swiping left and right with the apps to see what happens. Now I got a load of matches (I think like maybe 60+over the last 2 days or so, even when NOT doing anything with the apps). And even when not starting the app I am getting emails!?! that x amount of people want to meet you/chat with you/whatever. I used to wonder how people on LS got 3-4 dates a week. Now I know. These people have smart phones... Well, since LS got me curious about these apps I think it is only fair that LS gives me some guidance. Questions: -Where do you find the motivation to say hello to a tiny person on the phone? Especially when you can only go by a little photograph and ummm.... facebook likes. It only tells me 2 things, they like a lot which is good, and they like to post that on facebook which is not so good. -I do realize that tiny person on the other end is an actual person. Do they expect me to reply? Do they get hurt if I don't? Or is it common not to reply as a guy? If I did reply to all my smart phone would be like a full time job. Which it annoyingly is already becoming :S. Or can I maybe send a mass message. I am still very much in the learning phase of these apps. And what to say to all these photographs (little side note, besides the anguish in this post I very much enjoyed all the bikini pics, maybe I should mention that ) What do people expect from these apps? Most matches are from Blendr, than Tindr, and luckily none from Down I think. I have no idea what I am doing with that program Down though, I did see a lot of my female friends on it including married ones which I can't imagine would use that. A bit tongue in cheek but the questions are valid. Edited September 19, 2014 by Priv

Author Priv
1. you can turn off notifications if you don't want it always beeping at you 2. respond with clever, flirty chit-chat, no monologues 3. the time offset between NYC and Accra is 4 hours 4. get the fish bowl Well, I did find the notifications option, so that helped with the stress. The last few days I even managed to get into a conversation with a bunch of the little photographs. And kinda managed to piss them all off . Any PUA's here? I believe it is called negging and I am a natural at that apparently (if you want to know how I know, my brother was into that stuff for a few months and dragged me along for 2 hilarious evenings where he even wore eyeliner. I believe I was his PUA wingman but all I did was standing there laughing). What is the followup to a neg. But seriously, I am not mentioning sex and I believe I am quite nice to them. Though I do have a hard time taking it seriously. But maybe that is the problem, not mentioning sex. Because maybe that is what is expected?
sdrawkcaB ssA
HA! as I read your comments about setting up social connectivity and PO peeps. Smart phones are crazy... I use a tablet as you get bigger wee pictures. But all aside the apps I see are lacking over the web based ones. That is where a good 8 inch tablet works best Most of the apps can be scrapped when using Firefox browser. Even though many like Chrome, Dolphin and some others, Firefox can operate some of the most complex websites. So going to a social site and what not can be done with all its features, than dealing with a troublesome app.
