Darren2013
Cheating is usually a deal-breaker but ladies what if your boyfriend cheated on you with your mother? You happened to catch your boyfriend having an affair with your mother? Or gentlemen what if your girlfriend cheated on you with your father? Would you dump them immediately? Would your relationship with your mother or father be damaged and you'd want to never speak to them again? Stop inviting them over for thanksgiving holiday? I am interested in what people think about a situation like that and what to do.

I am interested in what people think about a situation like that and what to do. Cheating would always mean the relationship coming to an end for me. But if my hypothetical boyfriend, and my mother were ever caught cheating, I would have to end both relationships. I don't think I could recover from that kind of betrayal, and see my mother in the same light.
Dork Vader
I agree I would end both. But I don't have to worry about that. I know my father would not do something like that. Even if it did not happen to me.. Example woman says she slept with her best friends boy friend, brothers best friend or the like. I'm instantly hesitant of them. It screams that they do not respect other peoples relationships. I'll still continue to date them. But I do it with caution and ask how they felt about it. If they did not regret it I'm done. I was actually put into the position in which I could have slept with an ex girl friends sister. But did not because well simply it's wrong.
Clockwork
How in the world can you possibly continue going on with your relationship if your partner has sex with your mother/father? I'd like to honestly know how or why a person would stay with that person. Your parents you can also disown after that happens, but no matter what you are a part of them. You came out of your mom, literally. Now, it isn't to say the relationship isn't damaged or even over altogether but you might - just might - have a little more understanding for your parent considering a much younger person seduced them. Or you might wonder how in the world the people you should trust the most could betray you like that, regardless of the overwhelming temptation they were faced with. In other words, when my son has a girlfriend/wife and if she would ever make a move on me, I would think first, have a LONNNGGGG shower, and have a clearer head. You never ever, give into that type of thing. Man, that's your son. But either way, I couldn't ever be with a person like that again. How do you tell your kids that "daddy slept with grandma?" That's just wrong on so many levels.
Author Darren2013
It isn't always the boyfriend who seduced the mother but sometimes the mother seduces the boyfriend to cheat.

I was actually put into the position in which I could have slept with an ex girl friends sister. But did not because well simply it's wrong. Alot of people who get cheated on or betrayed never thought beforehand that a certain person or family member would do that to them. So you really can't say that it would never happen. Don't put it past your ability to be surprised by what people do. I'm not saying worry about it but just that when we trust anyone whether a close family member or friend there's always some element of risk that they will betray that trust. Granted that risk may be small due to their good history but that risk is there nonetheless. Those are risks worth taking. But it could happen. We hear all the time the betrayed victims say "Well I thought he/she would be the last person in the world to hurt me" and they are caught by surprise and shocked when the cheating incident is revealed. dragon_fly_7
Well my mother would never do that. She never even read a diary I had when I was a kid. Plus, she would be the first one to tell me if that guy was trying to hit on him as well as what a big loser he is. The guy would be busted right away for trying to even make a move on her. There is just no way this would be a secret for even a second. However, if hypothetically speaking this were to happen then yes I would dump the guy immediately. As for my mother, I just wouldn't trust her ever again and our relationship would be estranged. I would be distancing myself from her and simply don't tell her about my future dates. My own mother betraying me would definitely hurt me more than a guy cheating on me. You can always dump a cheating bf/gf and they aren't worth your time but a family member (esp your parent) is the one you expect 100% loyalty/trust and it just can't happen. No Limit
My mother would probably laugh the poor sap out loud, kick him out of the house while threatening with police should he ever contact me again and then tell me.
mrs rubble
Even the thought of having sex with ANY of my ex-boyfriends father's makes me feel ill. Yuck, and if my partner got it on with my mum, he'd be history! It'd never happen in a million years though.

somedude81
LOL this sounds like a scenario out of those younger woman and older woman threesome porno's. Where the boy friend gets "seduced" by the mother or stepmother and the girlfriend catches him, and they end up having a threesome.

Clockwork
Well, the entire movie "The Graduate" was based on this very type of situation. They ended up running away together. Of course, that relationship wouldn't have lasted past the ending credits though. In real life eventually you have to look at the guy and say: "You had sex with my mother!" Ugh. gaius
There was an actual father and daughter sleeping together on Steve Wilkos the other day. He pretended like he hated having them on the show but I'm sure his ratings were enormous. What a phoney. If she slept with my dad I'd have to ask her to introduce me since I've never met the guy and with my mother, I think my pity for her would overwhelm my sense of betrayal. =/
