Donaldchris
Well Try to eat one raw food a day big salad, and make your snacks raw nut products, fruits, and see how you like it.It IS very consuming with all the cleaning, cutting, etc, because vegetables are important sources of many nutrients, including potassium, vitamin A, and vitamin C.

Imported
I eat a lot of carrots. One of my favorite snacks are carrots that I dill myself sorta. I just julienne cut a bunch of carrots, put it in some tupperwear and then pour in a jar of dilled jalapeno's or pepperchini. In a couple days, the carrots are spicy and tangy and I just eat it like that. Edited November 11, 2014 by Imported

Gloria25
I don't believe in fad diets...I don't believe in eliminating things from my diet. Now, I do try to reduce or stay away from certain things (i.e. pork, red meat, fats). I think God put stuff on this planet to be eaten. I "do" believe in properly raising and killing animals - I don't believe in eliminating them from my diet. I think when you "remove" something, you have to work hard to get what you're missing from it into your diet. I've seen some people who restrict certain things and IMO, they look sickly. Years ago Glamour magazine did an article about a chick who decided to live a sorta Quaker lifestyle. She increased her diet with eggs, pancakes, milk, etc - but she also did more physical things like farming, walking, cooking, etc. You should have seen the difference, she was "thicker" but not fat, but she was "fit" and even had a "glow" to her skin. Now, I don't believe in overcooking veggies (unless it's like in a soup, where you can drink the water from the veggies) cuz it takes away the nutrients from them. Steaming is better, IMO. I mean raw veggies are good for salads and snacking, but gotta wash them well and I don't think that can be a proper "diet" all by itself.

They are not properly raised, by any definition of humane. How do you make your beliefs fit your actions? Factory Farming | Farm Sanctuary
