Got kissed by a girl tonight...

LOL, but it ain't what you think.

 

So, my bro's getting married in a couple weeks. His fiancee's parents flew in and earlier tonight we had a little dinner. My Sister-In-Law's cousin came, and so did her friend.

 

She kept telling me "My friend is SINGLE."

 

When I met her, I thought she was alright. Didn't blow my mind, but I definitely wasn't turned off or anything. Throughout dinner, I noticed her looking at me every now and again, and her friend (my SIL's cousin) kept trying to pair us up in subtle and not so subtle ways. By the end of the evening, she said something that made her blush very hard.

 

She seems like a cool girl, but she does live in the UK (I'm USA) so yeah. I think it's more one of those one-time events where you meet someone nice, and that's it.

 

Anyway, I went back to their hotel to transport their luggage over to my bro's house. I opened my trunk and found I had a teddy bear I had left there.

 

My SIL's cousin's daughter, who is 2 years old, had a big stuffed bunny. I thought hey why not give the little ankle biter my teddy bear. It was almost half as big as the kid was. I gave her the teddy bear and she got SO excited. It was cute to see. Her jaw dropped, she reached out with both hands to grab it and then she squeezed both the bear and bunny in each arm. Then her mom said say thank you to Tek!

 

The little kid said thank you and gave me a kiss on the cheek, haha. Awww. What a sweet moment.

 

Even though I'm tired as heck after a full work day and a long dinner, I'm glad I went. Got out of the house, met some new folks (will see them next time again at my bro's wedding) and gave a little kid a nice little memory for her. That felt good. It made it all worth it.

 

As for the woman my SIL's cousin is trying to set me up with, we chatted a bit 1-on-1 as I was carrying her luggage out of the hotel and to my car. She seems nice, and I found her more attractive after she changed into something a little more casual. She came to the restaurant and looked a bit old, even though she's only 24. After she changed into a sundress, she looked much more attractive.

 

I really think I do enjoy being single and having my freedom though, unless someone knocks me out. I feel like I rather be content by myself than "settle." I guess time will tell.
