gaius
Welcome - What Real Women Look Like 5'2, 150 lbs. Clearly in EXCELLENT shape. This is why you can't assume, based on simple numbers. Unless she's got an industrial strength girdle going on under there I think her scale is out of whack. I'm 8 inches taller and was no stick figure when I dropped down to 155 for a while. That's more like my figure used to be, before I got sick, but that's exactly what I was talking about. I'm closer to the examples that jay posted now. So I don't think her scales are out of whack, at all. I wear a size 8, sometimes a size 10. It depends on the clothing.
Mr Scorpio
I don't know any men who would say either of these women are too fat. If I met such a guy, I would question his sexual orientation. "Too fat" for what? For their personal preference? I certainly won't be offended if you question my sexual orientation for saying that I don't find either of those women's bodies attractive, but it would seem a bit silly. People like what they like. That doesn't mean they can't be sexy by virtue of their personality. But in a shallow "wouldja?" sense? No thanks. I'd like to see the next showcase.
Robert Z
Let's be honest here, fellas. Would you date an obese woman...or an overweight woman for that matter? Every single one of my girlfriends was overweight, as well as one night stands. I have no problems with bigger women, if they take care of themselves, show a little spirit and don't act like they are the ugliest creatures of earth Newsflash women, you're just as beautiful, but you have to believe it. Anyway, fellas...would you? Honest discussions, even if it may make you look like an ***hole. I wouldn't seek out a woman who is significantly overweight but I always allow that I could fall in love with anyone regardless of my superficial preferences. However, I work my ass off to stay in shape. I changed my life in a huge way, focused heavily on diet and exercise, gave up most of the foods that I love, lost 70 pounds, and then put on lots of muscle. I haven't had a piece of bread or a French fry or hash browns [just a few foods that I love and gave up completely] in over three and a half years. I'm in better shape than many men half my age and I did it all for hot sex with hot women. That is what kept me going every single day. So naturally I'm not much interested in compromising on fitness now.

somedude81
5'2" 145 These aren't too bad. Welcome - What Real Women Look Like Welcome - What Real Women Look Like Neither woman is obese, but both of them are obviously overweight. Both of them have "fat" arms. Also both pictures are straight on frontal shots, so you can't see how much their gut sticks out if it was a side view. Just to shock everybody, I would have no problem dating either of those women. As I've said before, I have no problem dating women who are overweight. Though once a woman starts to become obviously obese, that is where I cross the line.

Are you sure that's not a man? Women who have a ton of muscle are the extreme example. As I said earlier, the vast majority of women don't have muscular bodies. Most women who are short and heavy, have a higher body fat % than a woman who is short and lighter.
Robert Z
Shape might have something to do with it. Just look it up. They have charts and ranges for men and women. As I said, weight doesn't mean much. It tells you nothing about the relative percent of muscle compared to body fat.
dichotomy
I have always felt shape, curves, and proportions we of most interest to me. Lots of articles on this - hip to waist ratios appeal to me and there have been articles on the perfect ratio for women. Height to waist ratios are better than BMI I think or weight. At one point in my youth I read for men one measure (among many) of ideal fitness was a chest to waist ratio (drop from chest to waist) was 10-12 inches or more. Look - you like the body type you like in your partners, or maybe its also personality and drive as well. Its okay what attracts you, but no sense shaming someone else for their preferences. I'm 8 inches taller and was no stick figure when I dropped down to 155 for a while. I know personally you can be 5'4 and 150 and be a size 4 and you can be the same height and weight and be a size 10. I wouldn't expect someone to be much larger than that or maybe, maybe, a 12, at that weight but I suppose it's possible. Bodies can be hugely different. I don't think her scale is wonky at all. Unless there's a mass conspiracy on every scale I've ever been on.

Tayken
I love how this thread turned out. But really...anyone here a chubby chaser? lol. I don't think it's something most (either sexes) will be willing to admit online to strangers. Additionally, it depends on what you mean by "chubby" i.e. at what weight is a person considered that word? As mentioned thus far in this thread, some women carry and put to better use their weight more than others. Another way to look at this is from the healthy side of things. Do you really want to end up with someone that can inevitably become a liability to you i.e. you end up looking after yourself, them, the kids, pets financially and physically? I know we can't see into the future or deny that a normal size person might not end up just being the same, but the point here is that a larger person carries more risk, and insurance companies coverage is testament to this. Targetlock
severely obese? no, a few pounds is fine by me but it all matters on the person there is an exception to every rule.
