writergal
Are u a Leo, Gaius? You and I would just butt heads if we dated and you know it. I need to settle down with a nice Virgo or Taurus. Leo's are supposed to be the most fiercely loyal of all the signs. I don't know a lot about astrology but I should probably learn since it seems a topic 95% of women enjoy engaging on. And there's plenty of time for a nice, stable, boring romance. Decades from now when you're in the nursing home.

Snakechammah
Snakechammah, what would you say about someone whose Sun is Cancer, with Venus on Cancer, BUT Moon on Sagittarius? haha Sun in Cancer - seemingly quiet and sensitive exterior? Moon in Saggi - emotionally fickle, spontaneous and seeks adventure (emotionally) Venus in Cancer - soft, gentle, sensitive approach to love. Can be a little drama/emo in love Quite an internal struggle with both fire and water for moon/venus! With many Cancerian influence, there can be 'mother issues' going on with this person.

ThaWholigan
A Venus/Mars/Moon overlay in the 1st house is extremely powerful! Have you had that with anyone? Sooo lucky! And you're Mars in Aries... hmm... you must be very direct in bed! One girl I met at an astrology book store last year, ironically. Strong attraction, but wrong timing. And yes, I am extremely direct when I get going . Oh wow, what a contradiction! Your Venus in Cancer, and Mars in Aries... aww... The way you love and bone is totally opposite, lol. How do you manage? Is there a lot of internal conflict? And yes, in most of my synastry with exes/suitors, there's always Mars in the 5th house. It's good for sexual attraction between two people. When you say unrequited love for Venus/Pluto, in your experience, who is the one being rejected? It doesn't help that Venus and Mars are actually square (wide orb but still a square). It is a struggle embracing them both - I can be shy and very self-protective, then other times I'm almost brash and don't beat around the bush. Its constant conflict - produces very awkward energy. I've recently experienced both 8th and 5th house synastry combined and it is incredibly distracting, particularly as I'm currently celibate for the time being! Yeah, in Venus/Pluto, I generally tend to be the one in limerance to the point of mild obsession - most times I just disengage now. Need to get a handle on some of that energy! You're neat, Snakechammah. ThaWholigan is a gifted astrologer. He did my and my SO's charts and his work has been spot on so far. He should charge! Thanks Cerri . It was the first time I had done a Composite chart aswell! Its been a while since I read charts, especially since I've been working now, but someone at work said I should do it again and charge so I might start doing that in the end!

Also, her Sun matches your Venus, and her Moon matches your Sun (AWESOME combos!) and the fact that her Sun/Venus/Mars is the same sign as your Venus/Mars... wow.. you two can be twins, lol! Both of you are extremely cautious and calculating. Did it take a while for the two of you to come together? Seems like a very good match though, but I'd be curious to see your house overlays and the synastry aspects. Too much structure and earth qualities can make a relationship boring, so if you have some intense house overlays with some fire and air, it could give the relationship some excitement. How would you describe the relationship with her? The fact that you say you seem more like friends could mean there isn't enough 'hotness' (fire and air) to stimulate sexual interest. But still, this relationship is stable, predictable and you can rely on each other when the going gets tough. I still think this is a great combination!
FrostBlaze
You are spot on with the similarities. I told her we are like twins, think alike, do most things the same...but maybe to much alike. I can't get any spark on her side. We tried, she just said she can't because she can't feel more so we ended it after a few months. So we are just friends for a very long time now ^^, even if in the back o my head i still like her THAT way, but it just ain't mutual . Idk why we couldn't make it work...so much for being compatible ^^.
tatersalad
I am a Leo and my so is a Scorpio I've read up on the whole zodiac hocus pocus mumbo jumbo, and while it describes us well as individuals it completely misses the mark on our relationship.

Idk why we couldn't make it work...so much for being compatible ^^. Too much security and stability makes a relationship platonic. In a love affair, there should be some 'sparks' (Uranus influence). If there is some 'adventure', even if it's emotional, it can avoid making the relationship stale and predictable. I am guessing that the house overlays and aspects didn't have much fire and air then? Oh well. But at least in your friendship with her, there is honesty and integrity. I guess that's much better than 'wham bam thank you ma'am' kind of chemisty (bone today, gone tomorrow!)
FrostBlaze
Maybe ._. Then again i always feel and i KNOW she didn't give me a fair chance, long story as to why. Under different circumstances i think it could of ended well. But i was her emotional tampon(rebound) when "our' relationship happened, she had broken up with her bf. We we're friends before that and went back to it. Now she be happy in her new relationship, with a gemini. If astrology says anything is that Gems and caps don't get along at all, but look at them xD, so much for zodiacs...idk.

If astrology says anything is that Gems and caps don't get along at all, but look at them xD, so much for zodiacs...idk. Gemini and Capricorn are inconjunct to each other meaning they have absolutely nothing in common - sometimes that works. There's enough friction, perhaps in other areas of their charts aswell. Some people need friction in their relationships (sparks if you will) while others thrive on comfort. That does reflect in their own natal chart, and colors how they relate to others in synastry. So while you had a lot of compatible, comparatively easy combinations with this girl, it was too compatible and too comfortable for her to feel stimulated or have some growth - and in time, maybe you would have felt the same too. That's something that you can explain in astrology or without astrology.

Snakechammah
Oh nice, another Astrology thread. Snakechammah and/or ThaWholigan, lay it on me. Sun: Pisces Moon: Scorpio Mercury: Aries Venus: Aquarius Mars: Pisces Jupiter: Cancer Saturn: Virgo Uranus: Scorpio Neptune: Sagittarius Pluto: Libra Unfortunately I do not have the time of my birth, since that sort of thing was not recorded in my country of birth. Niiiice.. Moon in Scorpio (just like me) A powerful ally and a dangerous foe But your Sun is in Pisces, so you're much muuuuuch more kinder than most Moon in Scorpio peeps. Venus in Aquarius (like mine too). You're detached, aloof and very hard to tie down. You have many 'friends' but not too close to anyone. You like quirky stuff, is ahead of others and when you're in love, you're free as a bird and you don't like to be tied down (or possessive people). You avoid drama, and likes to do your own thing. People with this sign for Venus can be really hard to get. There is something about our energy that is like 'you can look but you can't catch meeee'... and it drives people nuts. Also, once you break up with someone, you never look back. You do have a lot of water signs... so you must be quite sensitive too. Not sure if the Sun in Pisces may eliminate some of the Aquarian detachment, because Pisces loooove looking back (especially in love), so I guess there must be an internal struggle there somewhat? Your Mercury is Aries, you must be very direct and blunt with your words. You speak as it is, no sugarcoating and perhaps, may 'bulldoze' into a conversation at times? Do you walk fast too? Your Mars is a water sign so you probably don't like to argue and can sometimes retreat into your own world. Sensitive and quite considerate too. You don't have a crazy temper, quite calm in fact. Good for you!

If astrology says anything is that Gems and caps don't get along at all, but look at them xD, so much for zodiacs...idk. What you need to understand that in LOVE (hell, in anything else in life), it goes waaaay beyond the SUN SIGNS. Just 'Gemini' and 'Capricorn' alone means NOTHING. For all you know, their synastry aspect and house overlays are super hott. Nobody can know these things until they do a PROPER synastry/composite report on their FULL BIRTH DETAILS. Sun Signs don't weigh much. You HAVE to look at the bigger picture.
Frank2thepoint
Niiiice.. Moon in Scorpio (just like me) A powerful ally and a dangerous foe But your Sun is in Pisces, so you're much muuuuuch more kinder than most Moon in Scorpio peeps. Oh thank you for your assessment. I like to consider myself a kind person. I do have friends, really close good friends, but I've never regarded any one of them as a "best friend". Each brings a different perspective to my life, which I value. I agree I do enjoy quirky things, even unconventional things. I've recently was in a LDR (from US to Europe), and honestly it didn't even scare me, it was adventurous. The aloofness is partially correct, as in it is easy for me to escape from stressful situations and bounce back from hurtful ones. I do agree I don't like to be suffocated in a relationship (who does?), and enjoy some "me" time, but I am strictly a monogamous, serious, long term relationship oriented man. As for the break up part, that is extremely correct. It also applies to women I've dated. You do have a lot of water signs... so you must be quite sensitive too. Not sure if the Sun in Pisces may eliminate some of the Aquarian detachment, because Pisces loooove looking back (especially in love), so I guess there must be an internal struggle there somewhat? Yes I am sensitive, but I've learned to embrace my sensitivity and emotions over the years. I cope with it by being somewhat detached at times, so as not to allow every situation to overwhelm me. I have looked back fondly and sadly to past relationships after they ended, wishing things were different. Just like now I am looking back at a recent relationship that just ended, and I miss my ex very much, wishing she didn't shut me out. So yes there is internal conflict, almost Byronic. Your Mercury is Aries, you must be very direct and blunt with your words. You speak as it is, no sugarcoating and perhaps, may 'bulldoze' into a conversation at times? Do you walk fast too? This is funny, because it is true. I am quite blunt and even sarcastic too. I never thought I "bulldoze" into conversations, but I do drop sarcastic jokes at the right time, and leave people laughing. I often do walk fast naturally, but as I've gotten older, I have slowed down from a mix of appreciation, comfort, and laziness. Your Mars is a water sign so you probably don't like to argue and can sometimes retreat into your own world. Sensitive and quite considerate too. You don't have a crazy temper, quite calm in fact. Good for you! This is also true, in a way. I have no problem having a negotiation or discussion over serious matters. But I don't like when someone is shouting at me, which luckily has not happened in years. I approach matters in a calm and collected manner. Thanks Snakechammah, this is a really good assessment.

Pisces Asc node Sagittarius Ascendant Cancer II Leo III Leo IV Virgo V Scorpio VI Sagittarius VII Capricorn VIII Aquarius IX Aquarius Midheaven Pisces XI Taurus XII Gemini Hmm... you have a similar personality to Frank above. Sun in Pisces/Moon in Scorpio. The sensitive, kind aspect of Pisces eliminates the intensity, vengeful, psychotic tendencies of Moon in Scorpio. Your Mercury in Aquarius means you are humourous and quick witted. Your thoughts are all over the place, and you think of things way ahead of others. An inventive mind, a good researcher and a good conversationist. Venus and Mars in conflicting signs... hmm... When you are in love, you pursue aggressively. You don't play games and very direct. When you have a crush on someone, the whole world will know. You don't keep secrets and you make your feelings known. You are honest and go for the kill. There is no second guessing when you're in love. Only trouble is, you like the chase mentality. Once you get the dude, you will crave the intensity of a new relationship and seeks greener pasture. The intensity of pursuing excites you so you continuously seek the 'new beginning' of any love relationship. And your Mars in Capricorn.. even though you pursue guys like crazy, when it comes to sex, you're very cautious and calculating. Nobody can accuse you of being easy because you think carefully, and plan thoroughly before you hit the sack with anyone. You are ambitious and need some sort of security before you sleep with someone. You are calm and matured when it comes to arguments, and you don't throw tantrums. However, you are calculative and confident in your own viewpoints. Your descendant is in Capricorn (and your Mars is the same sign too) which means you like ambitious men. Power, security, stability and men with a purpose in life. Your ideal life partner should embody these Capricornian traits, and you like someone with a drive to succeed. You would also marry for money and status. And.... with this I shall sum up my assessment for natal signs. As this is a love forum, I would rather do a synastry report - between two people, instead of analysing one individual. Hope that has been helpful, Brooke!
Giggle
This year I've had a lot of contact with air sign men. Fan my sag fire but I have a lot of earth in my chart, almost a grand trine. I'm also seeming to have a grand fear of fish. If they are unavailable in some way, especially including geographical I can relax around them. Then I get hooked. Aaargh. Nothing like being knocked on your ass by somebody who is 15 hours away and not free to be near you. My long distance fwb, practically my guy best friend is a Gemini/cancer cusp. Crazy chemistry. So understanding and accepting of everything me I'm trying to get his time of birth, but..

Shepp
I think I've said before on here I don't really buy into signs and all that! I can see you inherit personality from family, I see your environment can effect your personality but believing that your personality is predestined by the time of year your born seems strange. But with that said.. I can't deny that I'm just a textbook Taurus! - loyal, dependable, dogged, very competitive and of course stubbon, stubbon, stubbon. If it's a coincidence then it's a strangely regular one.. My wife is a Aries and adventurous, enthusiastic, magnetic, moody are all words that I myself along with plenty of other folk have all used about her! I can't say that I've ever researched compatibility other than a quick google in another thread, but strangely enough I read in what I think was the first page I stumbled upon a quote saying 'All Aries people need a rock in their life, someone to turn to when the going gets tough. All Taurus people need a firecracker in their life to turn up the heat a little' which struck me as funny because it's probably the simplest way I've come across to explain to people who don't get it why me and her just.. click, and click so completely. Still don't know if I believe it or not but it's interesting!

ThaWholigan
I need your expertise, I'm looking at Venus/Mars compatibility online. You use the Venus sign of the women & the Mars of the man correct? You don't look it up the other way as well do you? Women - Venus - Aries Man -Mars - Aries Thanks :-) In synastry, it's usually the woman's venus and the man's mars as venus represents the feminine and mars the masculine. So as the man generally tends to express his Mars more than Venus and the woman vice versa it's generally looked at as Man's mars and Woman's venus. However..... As nowadays people are more encouraged to express other sides of their personality, it can be just as useful to examine the woman's mars and the man's venus. A man's venus can show how he likes to receive love, and can also signify the kind of woman he's generally interested in. While a woman's mars can show how she generally tends to pursue a man and also the kind of man that she likes too. A woman's mars in aspect to a man's venus can be interesting, if only for the fact that sexually the woman can be the one who initiates to a certain degree, taking on a slightly more dominant role - not necessarily literally. If a man is uncomfortable in this role, or even the woman herself not wanting to be the active part of the union, it can sully the relationship. For both being active together, Sun and mars in aspect between a man and a woman is probably a good one, as is Mars or Venus and Pluto (Mars-Pluto can be a tad dangerous!)
