Former FWB now FWOB has now flip flopped into butthole mode. Yeah who would have thought huh? jk lol Now I get silence. Now I get anger. I get picked apart like something is wrong with me,. Un huh...sure ok.

Isn't this called rejection revenge? Or is this new found buttholeness supossed to turn the tables on me and make me feel like crap aka let me pretend all of a sudden that I don't like you anymore even though I am still jealous of every male contact you might have. lol FWOB even said he was out hunting me down a boyfriend! ROFLMAO

Just shoot me now. lol Ladies and gents...the worst has happened. I have lost my best friend. :(

awww..I know how you feel - my ex is my best friend too - he knows me better than anyone else. :o

Whether he happens to be bf/FWB/FWOB or anything else..don't let him get away with treating you badly. If he is being horrible - ignore him, leave him alone (even though you want to be with him). Don't put up with any crap. Teach him that he cannot treat you like that.

I'm not loading the shotgun just yet. Have you tried talking one-on-one with him?

Let me explain what I mean. Guys are often not as emotionally literate as girls. You know that you're feeling sad or rejected or lonely or insecure and can tell the difference. We are often trained not to distinguish these, or to interpret them as anger - the one emotion which *is* socially acceptable for guys to indulge.

Putting up a wall and sniping at the girl is not emotionally satisfying, but it is tempting and easy for a guy to do. A chat with you might help him to find a better coping strategy.

Note to self: must look in ReluctantRomeo user's manual to find out how to access butthole mode.

I had to cut off all contact with my exbestfriend. He still threatens to call me, to our mutual friends, but honestly I wouldn't take his call even if he did. It's a good idea to have some cooling-off time and then you can re-convene and see whether the friendship is salvageable, but right now let it go and move on. It takes a bit to change gears back into normal friend-not-crossing-the-line mode.

Probably cutting off contact for a few months to let him calm down might be in order. if talking to him about it dosnt work. This might just piss him off more, but do you really need this from him anyways?

Drop that zero and get yourself a hero(i love morning talkshows.....im such a girl :( )

ReluctantRomeo - You are very right on. I know him pretty well and I know it makes him giddy to push my buttons!! Yes, I secrectly know it's because he cares about me more than he should. I have posted about that awhile back but to bring you up to speed, every drunk occasion (which has been a lot) he's admittedly told myself and the whole world he's love me in great detail lol. I know he meant it and I kept it to myself. My friend has a child and although he's been away from the mother a very long time, he's one of those types that feels he somehow loves her even though they hate each other and try to kill each other...go figure! lol It's his first love by the way. Anyhow... lol

I do love my friend more than friends. I just will not admit it to said friend because I protect myself and unless he can admit it sober it's so not worth it!

Butthole mode... is jealousy. Trying his damnest to make me jealous, pick me apart and put me down out of hurt and anger, accuse me of being a whore, accuse me of lying ...I think you get the picture. Chilidish crap. A great example, finding a phone number in my car and begin yelling at me about it, then apologizing because he shouldn't care yet we all know he was still mad. Then accussing me of putting it there to make him jealous... we getting a better mental now? lol That's butthole mode in a nutshell.. speaking of nut.... lol

SuperFantastico -

You kill me! lol

Ummm, cutting off contact with FWOB formally FWB doesn't work. He blows up my phone and puts out a search party for me literally! lol It's like he's in my head and knows...hey, she's deciding to ignore me!!

Anyone see Jerry Springer here? lol

Have I mentioned FWOB introduces me to every possible male he knows as his lady? His excuse is that way they won't hit on me... lol

Yeah, I think I like weirdos.... lol

oh my dear lord, seems like you have a case of the drama king on hand -- try having 3 of 'em all at once.

I think your best bet is what someone else said - cut off contact for a few months til he cools it.

And RR is right on the ball - it isn't socially acceptable for guys to show any emotions, so even though they feel something, they won't tell you, until they know they are at the point of almost losing you, and then they do a 180 and pour out their heart and soul -- it's like they're a completely different person. It's unfortunate how things turn out that way.

Looks like this guy does have genuine feelings for you, but his way of going about things is a bit extreme now and he definitely isn't handling it in the most mature way.
