Chelle0582
I am not over weight or anything, I have just put on a few extra pounds that I a not happy about. I am 22, 5'5" and I weigh about 131. I would like to get down to between 117-121. I go to the gym a couple time a week, but I really think it is my eating habits that need to change. I have been doing some research on different low-carbohydrate diets and have come across the "Zone Diet". I like the fact that you can eat fruits where as on the Atkins diet you can't. If anyone has tried this diet before I would love some information. How easy was it to follow? How quickly did the weight start to come off? Or if anyone knows of a better diet ? moimeme
Just cut out eating lots of calorie-laden foods. Substitute fruits, whole grains, and veg. Avoid fast food. Drink water rather than pop. 'Diets' don't work. Lifestyle changes do.

westernxer
I did it and it worked, but I was only trying to trim a few pounds. Actually, I just scripted my own diet and stuck to it for two months, and it did what it was supposed to. Moimeme's right, however... you have to change your lifestyle or the diet means nothing. If I could just have the metabolism I had at 16. For example, I used to eat three Big Macs, a large fry, and a sundae in one sitting (every guy can relate to this). They didn't supersize back then, but if they did... that stuff would kill me now.
