A VERY difficult issue to discuss and answer...please help!

Recommended Posts

Prepare yourself for something a little out of the ordinary...or at least I hope it's not out of the ordinary...ugh I don't know what to do.

I'm a 16 year old male that has some questions about shaving. And not facial hair...I mean...down there, shaving. See, just a bit akward.

I like to shave just as any other male who shaves, except most of the questions interfeer with me being under 18. If I shave, and were out on a date, or with a girl, and she (somehow...) found out, do you think it would be a little akward? Also, please use perspective from a teenager's point of view when trying to answer this for me. Not to sound cocky, but I consider myself pretty decent looking, and shaving/keeping myself groomed just helps me feel more attractive.

However a large issue is what do you think a doctor would think if I went to get a physical? A 16 or 17 year old male who has kept groomed? Do you think he'd think it to be akward, or do you think that doctors see that kind of stuff all the time?

Most of my guy friends say they probably wouldn't shave, but I never speak up. Do you think that maybe some of my other friends shave, but don't speek up also?

I just like to feel clean and groomed, and If being a minor is going to get in the way of that, then please help me get some answers!

Not sure if you are talking about shaving all the hair, or simply grooming and keeping the hair neat and trim. In either case, it is YOUR body. If you are comfortable and happy with it then it doesn't matter what others think. Doctors are not going to say anything, unless its to ask you how and suggest some precautions so you do not injure yourself. I'm sure there are some girls who like a clean-shaven man and others who don't. If they like you, they like you. If that is a turn-off for someone then they are not the one for you. As for your friends, who cares? If you are doing this for YOU and not because of peer pressure than it doesn't matter.

Heck, there's lots of guys that do that! I mean, trimming the grass, so to speak.

Now, if you were to shave it right off, yeah, you might get some funny looks in the communal shower at the Y, but you're just talking keeping it neat and tidy. No big deal, lots of women do that too! As for the doctors, they've seen everything (but honestly will not give your trimmed apparel a second glance).

Hope that made you feel better!

ok.......i wouldn't think of it as weird at all. my boyfriend shaves, but he shaves his "balls" and keeps the upper part/lower lower abs trimmed and cut short. but i wouldn't see if weird unless i go down and there is no hair at all!! for a girl it's ok i shave and it would drive me insane if i didn't. but just dont go and shave every bit of hair off down there! haha ! good luck

NO SHARP OBJECT NEAR THE JEWELS@!!!!!!!

:lmao:

It doesn't matter what others think.... Do what makes you comfortable and more confident in your grooming / cleanliness. And many guys do trim, because I personally prefer that look on a woman so I give the same courtesy.

My boy shaves to. Also his boy's ;) and the part of the penis closest to the body to keep it tidy. Not that I can reach that far anyway lol.

I love a groomed man, if anyone saw it as less than he takes "pride in his look", they are schmucks lol.

keep it up.

I can't see a doctor judging in anything but a good way if at all. I am sure they appreciate a less jungly view.
