Trotters
Ok, like many people I became "friends" with a girl before we got intimate, before feelings developed etc. Now, we broke up(not on bad terms) but she said she wants to remain friends. She said that's where we built our connection. But, as a male going from friends to lovers is easy, but lovers back to friends isn't. How can I be "just friends" after a wild romance, knowing what we used to be like just isn't easy. Now ive read articles on how to get your girlfriend back. I havnt tried to get her back. Ive not begged or hassled her, so why does she wanna stay friends?. The articles say, go back to how we first met ie be the person she was attracted to. I get that but like I say how can you do that?. Its not as if I can pretend nothing happened between us. I cant flick a switch & forget our history. I don't know what to do. Stay friends but risk getting hurt knowing we may never be together again, but still have her in my life or cut all contact & move on but lose her as a special friend too. Thanks. How long did you date? was it FWB or "bf+gf" thing? Why did you guys break up? Honestly relationships between "friends" never tend to work. Its hard to go from "friend" to "boyfriend". The problems is, changing your behavior to each other. Some things that are fine as a friend, are not good as a boyfriend.
