jibberjabber
I've had guys tell me they think I'm cute. I have never thought of myself as super attractive at all (I don't wear makeup ever) but I notice sometimes some guys look my way whether I'm on campus, in class, or studying in the library. When they're pretty cute themselves, I tend to be a little bit interested as well. But it always turns out too good to be true; I find out they already have a gf. (This has happened to me three times!) It's so frustrating and every time this happens, my hope dampens. Why does this always happen?? And how do I not let it bother me so much?!
OwMyEyeball
Because humans have a tendency to steer their attention towards what they find attractive.
Bantosm
I know what you mean. I seem to get a lot of double takes, looks from head to toe from women when they are with their boyfriends. Yet when I see a woman by herself or in a small group they barely notice me. A person has more confidence while they are with their bf/gf, so they'll be able to look at people who would normally would intimidate them. On the other side of it, whenever I have a deep connection with a woman she becomes the best looking woman at least in my mind. During those times, I often look at other women to compare them to mine but it's just to make me feel lucky because I never find any that are more attractive.
