No harm in drinking coffee

Recommended Posts

Overall new studies are coming out supporting that there really is no serious harm that can come from drinking coffee regularly. It cannot hurt the heart. Any side effects are benign at worst such as drinking 8 cups of coffee may keep you up late at night longer than usual but that's about it. Yes caffeine is a stimulant drug in coffee but it won't hurt. I drink about 2 cups of coffee a day. I don't add any sugar in it because I get enough sugar when I eat sweets at other times of the day. So that's really the only issue with my drinking coffee is regulating sugar intake. I have developed mild hypoglycemia in the last 6 months with fasting sugar levels in the high 50s to low 60s. So I have to watch my sugar intake just like diabetics who have sugar levels on the higher side of normal.

I drank about 8 cups of coffee last New Year's Eve and it kept me up all night but that's ok. I was bringing in the new year.

Coffee is good for in moderation. It can help with heart issues and it has antioxidants that fight cancer. 2 cups a day is a healthy amount. I usually only drink coffee in the morning.

A little of what you fancy does you good.

Too much of a good thing, can be bad for you.

Adhere to those two adages, and you'll be ok.

If I drink too much coffee but not enough water my pee smells like coffee.

It's really weird.

And the same thing happens with beer.

I have been in an unsteady relationship with coffee for about 6 years now.

Like Pink, 2 cups is the norm

but I abuse it sometimes when I need to create.

Nothing spins me into hypomania faster and the ideas coming pouring through.

Other times, like a narcoleptic, I fall over asleep after a cup.

So, I suppose I'm more sensitive to it than most.

I don't have a point.

If you want a good night's sleep - you shouldn't indulge in caffeine after 2pm (I believe).

The experienced swap coffee for booze in the early evening. It's an endless cycle from Tigger to Winnie. Work like maniac, sleep like a babe.

Glad to hear coffee isn't bad for you, back to a two horse race, smokos and the buffalo.
